Best chance imo would be to take to independent service provider that specializes in bmw and see what they can do.
Dated perhaps, but I have tried this. Local European/Imports speciality shop, changed oil but existing tools were unable to reset service warning light.

I’ve been communicating with Ineos over the last week initially via phone calls, but most recently via emails to have their answers in writing. I posted on another thread about Ineos’ decision NOT to have any software update to permanently remove the over speed warning, which I wasn’t happy with and that’s coming from a two time owner who loves these vehicles. I also asked about some other things and have been trying to slowly put that info out as don’t want to bombard my fellow owners with a shit load of bad news. Again, you can take it for what it is and not believe it or call or email them yourselves. They can also change their minds later down the road. Below is an email from Ineos about the service warning. Like I said on another thread, there are many OBD2 plug ins like “Carista” that can “jail break” certain codes like on my 2022 Tundra to turn off seat belt warning sounds, roll down/up windows in sequence etc etc. So we still have the chance of one of these companies making something in the future for us to be able to permanently disable some of this stuff. However, it appears Ineos is not too owner friendly on most of these warnings…..🤷‍♂️

Edit: trust me I will be the first to come on here and applaud Ineos if they make a change and have some way of updating our vehicles so we can reset the service warning! I have two that will have to drive 4 hours one way to get them reset. I knew this going into the purchases so it’s on me not Ineos. I do hope they have some service centers created near me in 2025. Fingers crossed…….🤞

That’s very disappointing. However it also reads very much like a tier - 0 support providing a generic approved answer. The answerr actually just describes the status quo. No indication of future plans.

There is very little incentive for them to over promise and under deliver

I also reached out to my dealership’s service manager, who has been awesome, and a couple vendors who sell Grenadier products and are well informed/connected, and they are on this forum. I will leave it up to them to post what they know, but doubt they will as they don’t want the negativity from this sort of bad news they need us to be happy to buy buy buy (nothing wrong with that btw)…..but everyone I reached out to on all this stuff basically backed up this email and the other emails I received. For all of us owners, yes me included, that have been waiting for a software update to turn off the speed warning, service reset, lane change warning, etc etc…..it’s not coming. I would love to come on here in a few months and say I was wrong, trust me on this. So guess we all will see in time. They may change their mind later on, but for now we got what we got and you know what I still love both mine!! I am also still planing on buying a QM.

Would be a very "brave" automotive manufacturer which "deleted" ADAS-type features given the increasing Nanny state regulatory over reach of Transport bureaucracies in most Western countries and the proliferation of personal injury litigation lawyers ( no offence to lawyer forum members!😇).

Exactly!! I didn’t want to go into all the same details from my other post as it was long. I had talked to an attorney who is a close family friend and he is also a defense attorney for insurance company. The USA is a frickin sue happy country now and all these safety things are probably there to try to protect manufacturers from future law suits, but no matter what they will come! But yes, removing any of the ADAS safety things permanently would be setting themselves up for failure in that perspective. Guess that’s why they leave it up to the owners to turn off each time. Never thought of that until he said that to me, but now I get it and understand. Don’t know when/where it started, but nowadays you look at someone the wrong way you may get sued!! 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Not a bad idea. I might just give it a try tomorrow.
Hahahahaha……You think it makes noises/warning sounds now?! After you try on your end post the outcome so we can compare notes…..my attempt was a huge failure! Maybe it’s all in the tape being used……😉🙃

I assume that would just trigger the camera warning light?
