Thank you - that really helps. 15mpg as we've heard here is just a bit thirsty....Petrol Trialmaster 1400 miles.
MPG is around 19 mpg with general driving, no towing and a few spurts of a heavy right foot.
I have never been down to 15 even with some spirited driving.
I have however noticed that this has started to creep up, and is starting to get over the 20mpg and more towards 21mpg as the mileage climbs.
I will say this is taken from the vehicle, no manual calculations.
So that’s 19 British MPG? That’s 15.8ish US MPG.Petrol Trialmaster 1400 miles.

I was just about to say the same thing. So that’s 19 British MPG? That’s 15.8ish US MPG.
Sounds like the gas mileage is a pathetic as we thought then....I was just about to say the same thing.
Yep - something to think about. It's annoying that there is no diesel option for the US - though I realize the emissions rules make it very difficult.I think the biggest issue really is the truck’s sheer weight. It’s hundreds of pounds heavier than full size 150/1500 pickups and heavier than anything like it.

Even poorerSo - I was genuinely surprised by the poor fuel economy of the petrol. Don't get me wrong I knew it wouldn't be good and I'm OK with relatively low fuel economy we have an ML63 and a A8 6.0 W12 in the family fleet.
I just drove down to Toulouse at back which was a total round trip of 1500miles. The fuel economy at 75mph was 18.5mpg (UK gal) which is 12.7l/100km
I really thought we would be well over 20mpg but alas......no.
Anyway - I enjoyed the trip and said "am I bovered?"
lt's probably about right for such a large, heavy petrol engine truck with an auto transmissionSounds like the gas mileage is a pathetic as we thought then....
Unfortunately when driving large, boxy, slab fronted, heavy bricks on motorways your fuel economy really suffers. So - I was genuinely surprised by the poor fuel economy of the petrol. InterestingSomeone took this (not ideal focused) picture for me today. Going 160 gps km/h (roughly 100 miles per hour) it shows 166 km/h and takes between 18,5 and 20 liters per 100 km/h. While it is irrelevant for nearly everyone outside of Germany this is between 11.7 and 12.7 mpg (US) and between 14.1 and 15.3 mph (UK).View attachment 7825721View attachment 7825721View attachment 7825721View attachment 7825721
