Americas What is your petrol US gal mpg?

My computer says 17.8 US MPG after just under 1,000 miles. Suspect this is overstated but have not manually calculated.

My latest stats - note that I do not have six months of data, so in the first block monthly averages are way off.

What would be interesting average speed over the distances.
Mine has been a mix of highway and town.
Interestingly, speed doesn't seem to matter much.
A couple of my tanks were pure highway driving, and at interstate speeds it doesn't get any better mpg than around town.
Unavoidable when you have the aerodynamics of a Coke machine.

Took my Land Cruiser 200 on a road trip yesterday and today. About 400 miles each way. Almost all interstate with 45 minute stop for accidents each way.
16.25 mpg outbound and 16.3 returning.
I'm pretty sure the LC gets worse mpg in town than the Grenadier but haven't manually calculated.

A 6666-mile update on gas mileage:

For those of you with a thing for metric measurement:

Mean gas mileage between ~1000 and 6666 miles - 14.05 mpg, or 16.7 liters/100km.
It is interesting to note that the ~17mpg peak before the last fuel-up happened between Big Pine and Shoshone, in Death Valley, California - going from 4000 ft to 7500ft, then down to 3k, up to 5k, down to Badwater at 270 ft below sea level, and once again over a 3100-ft pass:

The only thing that seems to matter with the Grenadier is the speed. During this Death Valley North to South crossing, I don't think I've ever driven over 55 mph. I enjoyed the fact that I had almost 10 gallons left after that crossing - beats my old Disco 1 and Classic on the similar routes.

A little edit here: with the factory tires, the Grenadier's odometer is amazingly accurate: 211 miles odo/211 miles Gaia map Big Pine to Shoshone with little detours I've made; 290 miles odo/290 miles Google map Shoshone to San Diego.

Hi @nuclearbeef, just for comparison. I've been driving a petrol car for 3 days. The display shows me an average of 16.68 (US) mpg. I haven't calculated it manually.

Road trip to Atlanta to get my hitch installed.
All highway with a good tailwind. Cruise set to 78mph.

After 3 fill ups, about 600 miles on the truck now.
1st tank netted 15.9 combination city/hiway (Per the computer
3rd tank, all hiway, 20.7 per computer but hand calculated at 17.9.
I'll be hand calculating several tanks to see if the computer starts registering more accurate MPG.
I thought days of computer inaccuracy reporting was over. Most of my newer vehicles the computer estimate was very close to what pen to paper numbers were.
This was my experience over my first 800 miles as well. I'm thrilled at the opportunity to get 18 in this thing.

My best actual has been about 17 MPG. For planning purposes I use 15 MPG.

Manually calculated we're getting approximately 14mpg (US) around town and 17mpg+/- on highway trips. The engine isn't really broken in yet with just over 2K miles logged.
