Are you guys fitting new wheels and sensors? Or just new wheels and moving the sensors over?
I changed to 17” alloys and moved the sensors over. They are working perfectly, I haven’t checked if they have worked out which wheel is on which corner yet but they are all reading….
Well I just checked by deflating a tyre and guess what. It’s not in the ‘right’ place. I had assumed that there was a tpms sensor in each wheel well that would pick up the signal from the sensor in the wheel. Obviously not. So how does it work when you fit the spare?
I can’t see any option to recalibrate on the screen. I’ll be pissed if it’s a dealership job.

Good question. Yes came down the M23 at 70ish. However still had the 5 old rims/tyres/sensors in the back. So not been over 60mph without two lots. Ill try that as worth a shot.

I have also transferred my TPMS sensors over to new wheels, I'll have to check if mine are reading the correct tyre position.

My wheels ended up in new positions when I had the tyres flipped to hide the white lettering. The TPMS screen now shows incorrect tyre positions.

I have sent an enquiry to Customer Service asking how to retrain the system. I’ll be interested to see what their answer is. 😬

I'm still awaiting a fix. I too have fitted second set of wheels/tyres/sensors and the car cannot find them. I am still investigating. OBD tool to learn the new sensors or override them. I await more info.
I know absolutely nothing about these little delights, but have been shown that they have individual 7 digit codes (some alpha numeric but some all numeric), which are apparently useful to know - :

There's a TPMS configuration screen available to agents that reads the codes from the ECU and lists all 5 tyres.

This screen has 3 options:
Yes, relearn sensors
No, change IDS
Exit

I know absolutely nothing about these little delights, but have been shown that they have individual 7 digit codes (some alpha numeric but some all numeric), which are apparently useful to know - :

There's a TPMS configuration screen available to agents that reads the codes from the ECU and lists all 5 tyres.

This screen has 3 options:
Yes, relearn sensors
No, change IDS
Exit
That’s made me think 🤔. I purchased an extra wheel and tyre from my dealer that was quite expensive, hopefully with tpms sensor fitted and configured on both spares.

when you say expensive...?

I ask as I was quoted over £1000 for just 5 sensors - nuts!

tks DCPU.

the screen is the agents OBD or the cars 'secret' screen?

Wondering if the car picks up the sensors and you just have the ecu relearn the new ones or you input the specific id for each sensor into the OBD tool and reset the ecu to the new ones.

Guessing it's easy when you know how.

How is this screen accessed? Through the OBD? Or is there a cheat code on the infotainment that they can access?

sorry what do you mean by a big dealer markup?
Apart from the ...why would you buy a tyre as a spare part... what are the expected prices?
I thought it would be easier to get the tyre mounted on the rim from the dealer and hopefully tpms fitted and logged to system Didn’t realise they would be way more expensive than a tyre dealer.
My naivety I suppose. Lesson learnt. Never bought a car from an agent before or parts for that matter. And no intention of doing it again if I can help it.

£500 for a tyre! I mean the ones on the back of one of my tractors are £2700 each but they contain a lot more rubber…

but you've prob got a tpms that works and you are now on long distance tour so perhaps not all that bad.

On Wednesday morning, the day I had to go to my dealer I got a low pressure warning. Strange, the right front tire was white colored!

I have a cheap Chinese compressor, and decided to inflate the tires myself (to test the compressor AND my battery behavior, while motor wasn't running), and did put the pressure of the front tires to 2.8 bar and the rear to 3.0 bar. I knew this was too high, as my car was unloaded, but this was a test as I said, knowing that deflating is easy. The Chinese compressor was slow, but behaved very well, nice toy, and the battery voltage went down from 12.8 Volt to 12.3 Volt, but after inflating, the CTEK Smartpass pushed the voltage of the main battery up to 12.7 Volt (I have the dual battery system):

And OOH surprise, after driving some kilometers on the motorway at 125 km/h, I got again a tire pressure warning, picture taken when arriving at my workshop/dealer. Now the front left tire had a white color instead of orange!

And then I got a extensive explanation from the Hedin/Ineos guy at my dealer, but basically he said this:
  1. That I should inflate my tires when they are cold (euh, that's what I did!)
  2. That I should NOT inflate above 2.6 bar (euh, the sticker inside the car tells me something different if the car is heavily loaded!)
Wondering if the computer of the car is detecting the load of the car.
Wondering if the Hedin/Ineos guy knows what is written on the sticker with tire pressures.

Anyway, I learned something.

And, my software version is still the "old" 1939 version.
