It'd make more sense to run a Tremec 4050 or 5060 in front of the Tremec transfer box and use the manual Supra computer for engine management albeit with some sort of "tune". All the off road features could be re-wired to run independently from simple toggle switches but the non-functioning...

Having one with a bad front seal (successfully repaired), it appears these are all from around the same build time, so I’m strongly suspicious they had a bad batch of seals.. not an Ineos problem pre se, but rather a Tremec issue.

Tremec makes the transfer case and like the Carraro axles there is very little free information available besides what Ineos publishes in the sales brochures.

Hm.. afaik the transfer case was an idea of Ineos but construction and manufacturing by tremec .. perhaps tremec has some issues here and there? ineos stated they had so issues with component suppliers and quality.. maybe this is one or another of the tremec parts?

I had the same leak. It was the front output shaft seal. Has been fixed, and totally dry ever since. Think Tremec had a bad batch of seals (mine was ~august build date)

They will use the same engine and transmission combo as BMW does. The current box on the petrol Grenadier is only capable of 550NM I think whereas the diesel box is good for 760 NM

I don’t see any major drivetrain changes in the foreseeable future. They don’t have the volume. The good part is, the year one and year six rigs won’t be significantly different. It’s good for maintenance and good for resale.

Tremec is the manufacturer of the transfer case and an American company. In typical fashion a decision was made that none of you guys will get your IG until us Americans receive ours.. One should expect delays until the end of 2023 when the first IG hits US shores

Actually disagree on the transfer case. It is made by Tremec who are very well regarded but it is a new design from INEOS/Magna I believe and there have already been some issues and as I understand it it had to have a cooler added during testing. It may well end up being bulletproof over time...
