There is a cooler in the front bumper, the higher quantity is if you have drained that as well as the transfer case. You are probably best to drain the whole thing then add the specified quantity of oil.

Unless you have large puddles on the garage floor I'd follow the service manager's directive. You need to monitor things frequently to discern where the leak is emanating from. Can you tell the difference between different fluids?

I had an 11/23 build date and a 2/9/24 delivery. My transfer case began making a noise when in motion and multiple warning signals indicating the transfer case. They took it to Houston, 30 days ago today. Just over 1000 miles on the rig. They didn't even check the fluid in the transfer case...

First thing is to put the transfer case into locked and low range. Then when stationary - and not on a high grip surface - press the rear difflock button. If that doesn't activate the locker you might have a problem.

I should also add that many of the US failures aren't catastrophic failures, but torn CV boots/damaged joints

I think I had a similar/same issue yesterday (Sunday) in the hunter valley NSW, doing around 30-40km/hr on a dirt road, massive bang and turning thudding noise. My Ineos did have the transfer case recall and it was replaced at 15k service. Tow truck to Gosford dealer, waiting to see what they say.
