How do you know the dealer delivered you a completely filled tank? To do mileage calculations, you need to fill it yourself.

Im on a run to Phoenix in a couple of hours. I’ll see what I get.

Will it be decisive, probably not. But I bet it’ll add fuel to the fire. Especially as I’m going from -173 feet and up and over some lumpy bits.

The fuel consumption is not brilliant. I'm in Australia and we use liters per 100 kilometers. I have a petrol and get about 15 litres /100kms which is about 18 imperial MPG at about 70 MPH. I also use 98 octane but it's not the most aerodynamic thing in the world. On top of that, our fuel is around $2.20 per liter.

Computer - 16.1
Calculator - 14.08

Probably 50/50 city/hwy

3rd and 4th tanks...

actual calculated mpg/ onboard computer
1) 13.8/ 16.6
2) 14.1/ 16.1
3) 13.4/ 15.7
4) 14.3/ 16.7

On this last tank, I wanted to see how accurate the gauge is, so I had a jerry can in the back and was planning to run it out of gas.
I never ran out, because I made it to the cheap gas station before running dry, but made some observations.
When the "range remaining" dropped below 30 miles, it changed from a number to dashes.
I drove at least 35 miles after the 30 miles remaining showed.
The fuel level gauge will fall down to the bottom bar.
336 miles. 23.5 gal fill-up.

@nuclearbeef. Thanks for calculations. One thing that I find important is the mph. Are you able to show numbers based upon you mph? It seems that those of us that drive on highway at a speed above 70, gets mpg in the 13 range.

I didn't get that deep into it.
Tank 1 was mostly highway.
2&3 were mixed
Tank 4 was almost all highway. Half on interstates where I drove between 78-83 mph; half highways with 55 mph limit where I drove 63-68.
BTW; these speed numbers are indicated speed from speedometer. 78mph on speedo = 75mph gps speed.

My IG petrol is averaging almost 20mpg (imperial) on island roads, (winding narrow lanes, up and down hills) no highways or motorways here, but I would expect a long distance run on cruise to be better than that.

Man wish I got 18 in the Raptor, my 2010 6.2 is getting 14-15.

So many opinions, so few facts.
First tank of 91 octane driving on-road and 10 to 15 miles off-road....13.2 MPG calculated.
Trip computer claims 16 MPG. Four hundred total miles on the clock so far.
Hopefully MPG will increase when the motor is broken-in

I just crossed 1000 miles. I calculated 15.56mpg (305 miles and 19.6 gallons to fill) in mixed driving. Computer claimed 18 since the last reset. Again, this is winter grade fuel.

Winter gas blend has less fuel content so I use a rule of thumb of about 5% decrease in mpg. Cold air also worse for aerodynamics and longer warmups and lower tire pressures also reduce mpgs.
