Have to say my agent Purnell, have been great, texted them on Sunday evening, they know I was relying on the car to drive to Canberra tomorrow (Tuesday). They responded that evening and arranged with head tech to look at it straight away, dropped the car to them Monday morning today and head tech met me. If it is fixable without ordering parts they will have it back to me this afternoon. Excellent service.

Hose is split 😡 hard to understand how that could be on a brand new car. Either they damaged it during assembly or are using poor quality hoses. Grrrr. Either way not good, but the former is overall preferable when considering reliability in the bush. Hopefully this is isolated.

Find the part# and post it.
So we can add to our remote spares list!

Ask the Ineos mechanic where the split was and show you the part. They may or may not let you photograph the part. Those BMW style coolant hoses have so many extra joints and leak points compared to other manufacturers coolant hose applications. The cooling system is one area on the Grenadier that owners have to be vigilant inspecting to ensure that hoses are not rubbing, pinching or gathering debris that can cause damage. IMO this the one area that Ineos has let down a very good vehicle. It looks like the cooling package and hosing was an after thought and rushed.
Before I get crucified for the negativity, my work involves inspecting hydraulic and diesel power systems regularly and completing and assessing reports with both thermal images and photography from the field to assist with maintenance, failure and diagnostic analysis.

Often it's just some hose that needs nipping up a touch.
Most seem to be of the Self Clamping Spring Hose Clips variety rather than a worm drive/threaded bolt type:

I'm not sure these offer any benefits to the long term owner but are cheap and quick and easy to install on a production line.

On previous long term vehicles I've gone through a slow process of replacing original equipment hose clamps with blingy clamps from the like of Mikalor, but it can get expensive:

Good quality constant tension hose clamps can be more reliable then worm drive hose clamps and t-bolt clamps for stopping leaks.

I have to say that when I was crawling around under the car it is concerning just how many hoses and joiners and connectors there are. It does seem unnecessarily complicated

From scrolling through past posts it looks like Ineos have used the constant tension clips , which is reassuring , esp in areas subject to heat cycles.

I know you had some issue, what parts are you waiting on if you don't mind me asking?
🙏
There are hoses at each end of the pipe connecting the transfer case to the cooler I.e. between the pipe and the transfer case and cooler and pipe. The hoses are crimped on to the pipes and are one part. I need both as I had to take the cooler out and cut out the part with the hole and join the hoses together to get back home...

One of the reasons for the additional cooler are the high beams in the grille. While the light experts in the Grenadier project found them not urgently needed (when they were still halogen) and in additon they restrict you in adding more high beam lights, these lights are a personal design wish of JR. But they reduce the cooling power for the engine via the main cooler, so the engineers needed to find another space and surface for cooling.

These lights where the only halogen lights in the beginning until at some later point it was reckognized that all other lights are LED,so that was changed very late, but they remained.

One of the problems with cooling stems from the tightness of the engine compartment in just about every modern vehicle.

I'm not sure the aftermarket rectangular ones will help cooling either.
Anyway, personally I like the round ones.
