Super cool! We need more details…😁
Insta360 X4 with car mounts! I’m still learning but I think the secret to 360 video is the rigging. More time rigging and editing, less time actually shooting the footage because you just let it be.
I need to check out the video and edit it to post asap! If I do I’ll try to remember to @ you!

Fitted my trusty old 1UP rack today. As expected the front tray is too close to the spare tire to be useful. Ha. Will get a receiver extension tube soon, probably the Kuat Hi Lo Pro (offset approx 10" back and 2" up) because it seems skookum enough and has an anti-rattle mechanism as does the 1UP.

Have been doing a lot of towing hay bales to my hay store recently, and as a consequence eating fish and chips from the take- away in the vehicle. So decided a good time to clean the vehicle inside.
I'm please to say I recovered enough hay to feed the horse 🐎 for one day and recovered enough chips 🍟 from under the seats to warm up for one meal 😋
😆😆

$5 fix on the possible Bowden Cable issue, 2 x P Clamps and 5 minutes…
My cables (VIN in the 1500s) are very firmly attached and I can't envisage them ever coming off ; have they changed the original clamps?

As I said , mine's 15XX, It took 7kg of force (fishing scale) to pull the cables off.
Not the least bit concerned!

My VIN is early 3000,s after nearly 30,000kms no issue but they are easily pulled from the bracket, so figured why not an easy preventative mod. About to do a few kms on gravel.

IMG_5329.jpegIMG_5329.jpegOn holiday in France just now. Went for a play on the river, glad I had the roof rack as it was quite an effort blowing up the paddle board and the kayak. If we go again later in the week we I won’t have to do it again. Unfortunately i only have one ratchet strap with me!

I have the arb twin and an air tank! But alas no fitting for the kayak to connect to the compressor. It was lots of work with a foot pump.
"....i can see you're right sir, the seams have indeed failed. talk me thru your inflation setup"

"... i've got an Arb twin..."

"goodbye sir"

On my Cape York trip. Car is going beautifully. It's loaded to the gills. As we pulled into Archer River Roadhouse, another grenadier was leaving. It was grey like mine, had a big sticker on the bonnet. But my brother was driving, and he doesn't speak to people. So a belated hello. He can take a photo though.
We are watching the footy via Starlink. Struggling.
