I'm pretty sure I'm out as well. Easily 15% higher than expected. A bit stunned, but not surprising. All I can say is with all the people cancelling, I'm sure all who have reservations will get theirs.
The "tow Package" is standard on the Trialmaster but does not include the brake controllerThe real point of comparison should be a comparable Defender. My trialmaster is coming in at 83ish.
Anyone know what's included in the tow hitch package? I need that but $800 seems steep. Also unclear whether it includes a brake controller.
My build costs $89,255 (excluding taxes & fees). That’s a base with all the factory-only options plus rubber floor mats. Ouch. At that price point, the rock sliders and roof rack will have to wait. Also, my wife may kill me.
Exactly my thoughts. The subwoofer add can be done elsewhere in the truck (I think a perfect spot is over the right side rear wheel arch) but the description also says "uprated amplifier." If I could have a TM and swap the aux for the audio I would (I think I'll get more use/enjoyment from the upgraded audio and could always buy something like this: KICKASS in place of the factory aux battery). It's not apples and apples, but could be a good compromise.I also saw that and figured it out - you can't select the auxiliary battery plus the premium sound system. My guess is the amp or subwoofer gets placed where the second battery would go. So, since the Trialmaster comes with the auxiliary battery - it does not have the premium sound system as an option.
Not cheap in USD that's for sure...It’s almost like every story in the beginning was wadded up and thrown in the trash. What was supposed to be a $58-65k is starting at $80 and going to be $100 by the time the options, taxes, fees, etc are all on it. I guess I’m priced out at this point after years of waiting :-(
The 2024 Taco announcement is Friday so that will be interesting. I'd imagine a new 4Runner will be on its heels and with similar capabilities/features/etc.I'm glad they are giving the reservation holders a month to get their orders submitted. Maybe by then I'll become desensitized to the pricing!
Honestly, pricing is higher than hoped for but about what I had anticipated. There are so many unanswered questions that make this a tough call.
I'm currently on my 4th 4Runner and have accumulated over 500k miles between them. I've not had any issues with any of them. Going to be difficult to leave that reliability and pay nearly double to do so! I do really like the Grenadier though....

Thats exactly what happens - then you start to look at how reasonable the price on the winch is - then you add the winch, etc, etc, etcMaybe by then I'll become desensitized to the pricing!
If you are right, then what's this? The "tow Package" is standard on the Trialmaster but does not include the brake controller

Tundra two years ago...Sequoia last year...Taco this year...all signs and what media I've seen point to a 4R next year. I'll, likely, have already moved into an LC200 by then, so maybe a next-gen 4R will be our next, NEXT project as I'm not waiting that long.I was hoping the next Gen 4runner would be out by now, or at least we would have a better idea when. At least on Friday we see where it is going with the release of the next Gen Tacoma.
Also would be curious, based on the pricing how many people are or considering canceling their reservation. Someone smarter than me could probably create a survey.
I thought it was standard too, but I believe it is not.The "tow Package" is standard on the Trialmaster but does not include the brake controller
That’s why I bailed today. I’m too good at convincing myself it’s cool enough, so I’ve had to learn to listen to my gut. It’s @10% higher than the same spec’d Aus vehicle. I do feel like the pricing was set looking at the 2022 state of the market and not at where we’re headed. Of course, there will be plenty of people to buy them, so good for Ineos. I, personally, do not need the truck for $90k.Thats exactly what happens - then you start to look at how reasonable the price on the winch is - then you add the winch, etc, etc,etc
