My partner loves them and she’s not tall! I use them occasionally to get in as I’m still getting used to them (5’10 and three quarters in an earlier life and slightly shorter now but refuse to measure!) I also use them to exit like Tom to save the side of the driver seat. 😁

@RyanT

Saw on IG you have a brake upgrade coming in hot? Very interested and you guys keep impressing.
Hey ADVAW8S,

Yes that's correct. We are currently testing these in a Grenadier work vehicle that tows heavy loads daily and the feedback is great. We'll have these ready to launch soon along with heavy duty cast aluminium diff covers.

And then the diff cover will feature a large spill free cap for filling with fluids and sight glass to be able to inspect oil level and condition.

I have had the steps on order (OK4WD) for a while now. Trying to be understanding, but they have my money and I have no steps. They were supposed to ship May 1st and now I have no update. My TM has the lift and 35s installed and the wife is giving me the look whenever she has to climb in it. The diff cover looks promising.

UPDATE: Just checked OK4wd website and now says Jun 30th.

I am in the same boat (literally) as you. Buzz Overland has gotten behind on production and OK4WD is at their mercy. A limited amount should be shipping this week. So you may get yours before June 30th.

Based on my experience with Jeeps, changing the diff cover can impact the amount of fluid to properly fill it and can change the fluid dynamics lubricating the gears. Will this cover change the amount of fluid and the height of the fill compared to the standard diff cover?

Thank you

I’ve been waiting 2.5 mo the for my slider steps. My original plan was to drive to OK4WD to pick them up. Needed to change that plan since I’ll be traveling by the time OK receives them. They will ship them to me wherever I am at that time. Can anyone please share the size of the bolts that mount to the frame? I need to make sure I bring the correct sizes. Thank you

You'll need 17mm and 19mm

Some bolts screw into existing threads but some are in open holes so you'll need two wrenches/sockets. I think the 19mm are all captive, but don't quote me on that.

It's a dead easy job to fit them. If you're on your own you'll need something to rest one end on while you get the first bolt in. Blocks or a bit of wire to hang it up. I fitted them both on my own in under 20 mins in the pissing rain. The bolts came with it, 10mm (17 spanner) 12mm (19 spanner) Thats 3/4" for you yanks.

Thanks, Tom.

I picked up what you put down. The speed of installation is directly correlated to weather conditions.

Don’t forget that bull bar!

The wait is over. Ordered the slider steps on April 3rd. Delivered and installed today. Thanks to @RyanT and @buzzspecialvehicles for an amazing product. Unfortunately, the drop box file with the install instructions didn’t work for me. Message said folder empty.
Thanks to @grnamin for the pics of your install. And thanks to @Tom D and @Krabby making sure I had the correct tools on hand - although it took me quite a bit longer than 20 minutes turning all of those bolts with simple spanners.

Do you know how much weight you can put on that step?
Hi parb, I have the Buzz Overland Hinge Steps. They are incredibly stout and very well tied into the door hinges. I would estimate they would easily hold 250 pounds or more.
They are are very helpful when tying down gear up on the high on the roof as once you are standing on them, you can easily reach the middle of the roof. A point of caution when using them is to take your time when stepping up on them as if you miss the step you could easily fillet your shin or calf. I love the fact they are made of 316 type marine grade stainless steel, will last forever. They have a conical washer that goes between the Grenadier door hinges and the Buzz Overland Hinge Steps which keeps the Buzz Overland Hinge Step from even touching the Grenadier door hinges or the paint on the Grenadier door hinges.
Another plus is If you are caught out in the forest without any food, you could take them off and make a bear trap out of them.
