Also they need to declare the correct HS tariff code on the shipping invoice. My Almont under panels were declared under the 8 digit code 'bumpers' and attracted £60 more tax than the same shipment that @Logsplitter received as Fedex put them under 'car parts'!

Still confused on the costs of buying from Bison. The website states a price and says that tax is included. When I press to buy, the price remains the same but says tax is not included. I am in UK. Are the goods not sent free of VAT and it is my duty to pay taxes on entering UK?

As the UK is no longer an EU member state, goods ordered from member states will not be zero rated for VAT. So exactly as you put it, you are paying EU VAT, and will be liable for import duty and whatever else HMCR imposes.

That's not my experience.

The invoice did not include Polish VAT. I paid the duty and VAT to the courier.

You should have queried that with Bison. I only paid uk VAT/import taxes. Local (Polish) VAT is included in the purchase price

Again, not my experience.

This was the invoice from Bison with no Polish Vat.
I paid £252 to FedEx in respect of duty etc on top.

You appear to be well stocked with .22lr but I'm worried that you are a little light on 9mm and .40 and I didn't see any .45 But, I have to ask, what is up with the metal ammo can with the green leds on the front?

Blahahahaha, that’s not even close to the “stash” & I won’t post a pic of the totality of it all online. People already think I’m a little whacked as it is! However, I’ll tease a couple more pics as I’m feeling friendly tonight. Very good eye, damn didn’t even realize that was in there to be honest. That my friend is a VERY unique/special ordnance and seeing your moniker, me thinks you would definitely like!!!

Why own just one?! I’m picking of course. I am probably not the typical American to use as an example of gun ownership, as I do have a pretty substantial “collection”. This may sound crazy to you all overseas as I believe some can’t even own one without lots of pwk/getting approval from authorities/etc, but I literally feel naked without one on or near me at all times. It is like a piece of clothing for me. I have a CCP (concealed carry permit) and you will never catch me without one, never. If you read any of my past posts on this forum, you know I am a huge Grenadier lover/supporter, and I am even more so with the 2nd amendment!! Been around them all my life, used them for work for many years and they have saved my life more than once. So yes I am very attached to them! Btw for the anti gun peeps, and I know you’re out there, none of mine have ever jumped out of their safes or off the wall and left my home and did any illegal activities!! Come on people it’s never the guns. Should we ban cars/alcohol because they kill people too? Ok I literally could go on and on with this subject, but won’t. Anyone wanting to talk about guns to me please send me a message this thread is for overland’n equipment by Bison Gear. Those that have their rear cargo molle panels please post more pics as I am leaning towards buying some…..

Keep quiet about banning cars, it only encourages them. They are already discussing getting rid of pints of beer in UK and reducing to 3rd's. Reduced speed limits and restricted roads. Bicycle can now go legally faster than cars, mad world!!

I would love a concealed gun license and a long range sniper type rifle. Only problem is I would have to move to America

I also love how we all perceive how others talk or act on the other sides of the world. While I have never uttered the phrase “ye haw” myself, it is used frequently in westerns. I picture you “blokes” on the other side sitting at a little coffee table and always saying “it’s time for a cuppa of tea & crumpets (or pikelets)” with a response like “cheerio good chap”!! (yes I know I’m probably way off but that’s stuck in my brain for some reason)

Some of the stuff you say totally reminds me of my neighbors! They are married cops and are on the same detective squad who hunt felons. The guy is also on SWAT and such a bada$$ but the nicest guy ever. He collects guns and has tons of ammo and like you he feels naked without a gun! He even takes one hiking, and it’s bc of what he’s seen as a cop. When the zombies come, I will be going to their house immediately.

Before he passed, my Dad made me 2 ARs from scratch which is pretty cool. One is the color of an ammo can which I realize might be frou frou but there ya go. I also have a small .22 in my bedside drawer. I know some people don’t approve of that but I’m a small lightweight gal who could never overpower anyone — and I live in AZ which is a border state (America/Mexico) and it’s an absolute fact that some scary things happen bc of that, including kidnapping. If someone broke into my house, I would need my gun — not my intellectual prowess.

Interesting about AZ — you don’t even need a conceal/carry permit. You can’t bring one in a bar or if a business has a no gun posting at the entrance. Otherwise you can have one anywhere.

Ha you are the 2nd person to ask about that can with the lights. See above posts and my response. Basically I didn’t realize it was in the pic as I would not normally show any of this stuff but that stuff for sure. It’s special ordnance most people don’t/can’t own. That’s all I’m gonna say about that. Sorry.

Your neighbor sounds like my kind of guy! Like I said, I have one with/around me 24/7. Even on bike rides (mountain bike) I have a special pouch attached to the frame with one in it. Etc etc

Don’t even get me started on the Zombie apocalypse!!!!!!!!! Me, my brother and sister and our immediate families share a “zombie fortified compound” (I’m already breaking our rules even saying this), but this is anonymous and I am being vague…..we ready!!!!

Louisiana also is a permitless concealed carry state, but because of my past employment and to have reciprocity with other states to be able to carry there, I will always have a CCP.
