I’m in a shame spiral. So mad at myself. I went to install my Bison side baskets today and I ordered 2 right-side baskets! Ughhhh! I looked at them for weeks and every time I thought to myself “make sure you pay attention to ordering each side”.

Too bad I’m not Dual Grenny Guy lol. Or maybe I need to buy another Grenadier as an accessory for my extra basket.

So if anyone was a dufus like me and ordered 2 lefts, I’m game for a swap! Otherwise I can sell the extra right side at a discount if anyone is interested.
I’m interested! I’m a dual grennie too. Ha ha

Just installed my right hand side. I've the inverter on the left and got this rather woolly response when asking Bison about whether we could expect a revised basket, "At the moment, we have not received any updates from our design department regarding this matter."

I also got the roof basket but would rather avoid cutting holes in the plastic covers. I'm going to ask my dealer for the utility truck covers, which don't require cutting. Has anyone bought them before? Should I expect a nose-bleed?

I measured and drilled holes where the bolts needed to go. Of course I measured once and drilled twice, but the hole(s) is (are) still not visible once the covers are installed. Just something to think about. I also understand not wanting to damage them in case you decide to take the shelf down at some point in the future.

I fitted the rack and did drill my plastic covers. I got some felt sticky backed round pads to the size of the hole and stuck them over the treaded holes. I then used wife's lipstick (shhh), and liberally coated the pads. Reattached the plastic covers, pushing down hard over where the pads should be. Removed covers, drilling small centre hole then hole to exact size of the supplied screws. When I attached the plastic covers they were perfectly lined up. I felt this method was better than me measuring and I wouldn't trust a mechanic at the garage to be too exact.

The part numbers for replacement headliner hole covers are as follows. I drilled mine and ordered spares so if I remove the basket the spares without holes can be installed.

GRA-7E12-008280 Partition Hole Cover Qty 2
GRA-7E11-040192 Slotted Cover RH Qty 1
GRA-7E11-040181 Slotted Cover LH Qty 1

Do you find your Bison Gear shelf creaking when you go over rough terrain? I did so I fashioned some teflon washers that are a little bit wider than the spacers and placed them between the spacers and the metal surface the rack brackets screw onto. No more creaking.

No creaks here. The washer tip is smart. I'll remember that if/when needed, @grnamin . (y)

I did drill and remount the covers but I don't think that would make a difference either way.

All done and found some teflon cooking sheet to cut into washers -great tip grnamin thanks!
Quick reminder to make sure you replace the trim screws in the larger lining inserts BEFORE you fit the shelf - doh! 😆
They go in later but it’s a tad awkward and no one wants them to drop down the convenient gap in the trim to be lost forever down below 🙄.
😁😁😁👍🏼👍🏼

I think two people here have lost screws already. Myself and one other.

I'm ticked off with this outfit.

We ordered the Bison Gear UNDER THE ROOF SHELF and a single UNDER THE SHELF COMPARTMENT from this company on the 15th of this month. We have now received only the Under the Shelf Compartment and apparently the Roof Shelf has been delivered to (and signed for by) some guy named Matt Rodgers in Las Vegas, NV.

My wife has been arguing with this company and their rep Agata Sadowska via email for several days. Bison Gear is insisting that we've somehow supplied them with a Las Vegas, NV shipping address which is ridiculous. LV is 600 miles away (we're in OR) and we don't know anyone in that state nor do we know anyone named Matt Rodgers anywhere. Period.

Still, BG insists that they are not at fault and that we are responsible for retrieving our fully paid for item from Las Vegas on our own. What a bunch of clowns. Obviously someone has Bison Gear's number as we have never had this kind of issue with the thousands of items we've ordered online this year alone. They won't even entertain the idea that their system may have a glitch or worse.

My advice is to avoid this company. They will pass the buck if given half a chance.

Very sorry to read of your issues.
Hopefully, Bison Gear can provide their side of the story on here, as they are members.
Overall, Bison Gear has an excellent reputation and your experience sounds very unusual.
Only recently, I ordered the rear baskets from Bison Gear. They arrived on time and very well packaged.
I hope very much, your problem can be resolved amicably.

What we did receive from them was well packaged and a reasonable price inc. shipping. We bought one of their side baskets from another member and have been pleased. Insisting that we were the cause of their shipping error has been off-putting.

We've tried to be helpful and polite, even candid, but my patience wore thin today. I posted here to invite public scrutiny.
