Let’s see if we can reach out to Bison Gear via this forum and get you sorted. Bison have a great reputation on here and it would be a shame to see it damaged in any way when what they produce is greatly appreciated.

look at your email reciept. what address does it state on the reciept? Thats where they should ship to?

We ordered two items simultaneously but were billed independently which was confusing but whatever. One of the emailed receipts states of correct billing and shipping address and the other item's receipt states our correct billing address and someone else's shipping address. I didn't spot that because... why would it be different between two items ordered together unless its a security issue with their server.

Either way we've given them several chances to correct the issue from their end with suggestions like:

Do you have a customer by that name who also ordered product?

Why don't you contact them with instructions as to how to forward the item to the correct recipient?

All we get is "tough shit."

I have PM'd Bison in the hope that some resolution can be achieved.

That would b great. I'm ready to accept any errors on our part and cover our costs. I'd like to relate how I handle "customer service" issues...

A few years ago I sold a $20 pair of boots on ebay. Maybe six months later I was contacted by the purchaser asking where the boots were. After a tremendous amount of effort by phone, email, and by physical travel I managed to discover that the boots had been delivered to a wrong address and then summarily dumped into a giant US Post Office warehouse where they could not be located. The buyer had accidentally transposed two numbers on their address and the boots went to the next door neighbor who then rejected them. I initiated any and all processes that could aid in the boots being returned to me or even forwarded to the purchaser. I heard nothing until about two years later when the boots showed up in our mailbox. I rang up the purchaser ( on their way to a back packing trip in Zion), got their new address, and mailed off the boots a second time on my nickel.

If i charged my hourly rate then I lost several hundred dollars and made less than a Jackson on the sale after ebay took their share. Maybe I'm being self righteous. If so I apologize.

Do you have the name and the address to the Vegas guy?
Can you call him and see if he can forward your package to you?
Or do we have a Vegas based member who can pick it up for you and forward?

I don't know where the mixup happened. If you ordered them in one transaction but they got split on the backend then I think bison owes you a resolution.

Still waiting for a reply to my PM.
Ironically, fitted my Bison baskets today. They fit beautifully and are very high quality. A bit fiddly, keeping bolts in place whilst trying to fit them up. Ended up using a bit of tape to keep them secure during the fit.
Hopefully Bison will get back soon.

I do have supplied contact information for the supposed recipient in Las Vegas. I gave them a friendly call directly from my office phone. There was no answer and no outgoing ID. I invited the "guy' to give me a call. The name associated with the house via the all-knowing web matches what somehow ended up as the delivery address, but who knows who it was that met the FedEx guy in the drive way last Friday. Anyway, bupkis from the Vegas dude. I figured it might be an option to commandeer a member here to run an errand for us. Gas and groceries gratis.

After briefly discussing the issue with a family member currently charged with oversight of the internet presence of a major media conglomerate I was told there could be several scenarios from accidental to improbable to nefarious that could cause such a situation. Knowing we would never willingly extort anything from anyone and that it wasn't simple dyslexic fumbling of a few numbers, I have to dismiss shoperator error as the cause.

As of this morning BISON GEAR has offered an apology and initiated delivery of a replacement Roof Shelf. I want to personally thank the forum members who offered support and extend special appreciation to @Stu_Barnes for creating this forum. I think he (and others) can confirm my reluctance to air grievances publicly. In this case I felt it was appropriate. I will report back once the shelf arrives and is installed.

See above. We have a single rear basket and it's been great. The under shelf compartment looks brilliant. Hopefully we'll soon have a shelf to mount it to.🤪

Great to see that Bison have come through. Would be a shame if one couldn't rely on customer service from a company that makes great products.

Their website specifically states that the rear cargo basket ships separately. I ordered a side molle panel, the side cargo basket, and Jerry can holders. Everything arrived at the same time after a delay in customs. FedEx then sends me an invoice for storage and duties…

That's a shame. Neither Bison Gear nor FedEx levied any extraneous charges on our order and it was certainly split into two packages. We also don't have a FedEx account for them to bill.

I think we've only ever owed extra tariff/duties once on a delivery from a South American country unfavorable to the US.

I didn’t have any duties or other fees when I ordered the cargo shelf. I’m guessing they need to figure out the best way to describe the product to avoid any duties, etc.

I had to pay taxes to FedEx for the bison roof rack. I'm in California. Nothing for the side molle or the interior shelf.

Super happy with their quality. And yeah, mounting the interior side baskets is a touch fiddly...

I'm wondering what everyone is using as far as bolts on the Bison Gear roof rack. I'ved used these from amazon, but they are cheap and very corrosive:

I noticed someone got these in Europe, but unfortunately they do not ship to the USA: https://www.ebay.ch/itm/33317035576...8i-z5UiTyq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Any input and wisdon the great forum can bestow upon me? Much appreciated.

I've order replacement bolts from https://www.accu.co.uk/ for my Bison products. Specifically A4 marine grade stainless torx. For me, I wanted to keep consistent with torx fasteners and these guys had everything I wanted and were very fast shipping. Also, I just won't buy on Amazon anymore...

Thanks. Specifically I am searching for T bolts or hammer head. Or whatever people are using in the slot of the rails. I didn’t see those on the UK website. Or maybe I missed it?

I use these

And these

They come with screws in different lengths. I have found the 12mm to be a pretty good length for the flat washer and the split washer to fasten a 2mm piece of flat bar (eg lightbar) to the roof rack.

I also have these, but I have not used them yet.
20 pcs Slide in T-Nut M6 Threaded for 3030 Series Aluminum Extrusions Profile(20 pcs 3030-M6) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MT9SDPL?tag=globalgrena0b-20

...and for the record, it took a decent amount of amazon-fu to find these in stainless. There is a decent amount of junk on Amazon. These have been pretty good for the past few months.

I also replaced the bolts and nuts that came from bison to attach the front wind fairing to the roof rack. Mine worked themselves loose when driving on gravel roads.

I replaced the stock nuts and bolts and I used nylock. A small ignition wrench was very helpful to hold the nut in place when fastening it. Been solid and I've done at least 2,000 miles since.

I couldn't find the right color bolts at my hardware store but rustoleum satin black is the perfect color for the rack and the molle. I painted the Allen bolt with Rust-Oleum and it's perfect. I also had to fix a few scratches on one molle panel with a fine brush and it too is perfect.

Don't forget to tighten the wind fairing down firmly and don't forget to tighten the flat plates on top. I was a bit gingerly and had a vibration in those plates at 45mph until I torqued them down properly.

I don't know about those per se. I know there is a discussion elsewhere on the forum regarding those. (I don't remember where off the top)
