Today I had customers from the UK visiting our company. I was wearing my cardigan with a little Union Jack embroidered on it. The ice was broken immediately. One of the customers was wearing a Belstaff Trialmaster. I asked him how pleased he was with his Grenadier.
I was very surprised by his answer. He said that as far as he knew, no vehicle had yet been delivered to customers. And how I know INEOS Grenadier at all. I replied that it was because I had ordered one. Now our business relationship is even better.

has anyone been asked - at contract signing or otherwise, what size/colour they would like for their Belstaf jacket?
and are there belstaf jackets in correct men's sizes?

I suspect when the cows heard them coming for saddle and jacket leather they headed for the steepest hills.

The Trialmaster and Fieldmaster jackets come in Italian sizing (similar to a suit) which is easy to convert, eg 48 is a medium. There are up to 9 sizes effectively from XS to 5XL. I have a Trialmaster in 48 and found it fits true to size, but it is designed as a tighter fit which some might not like.

The Trialmaster is more suited to an athletic physique, the Fieldmaster more suited to those who have enjoyed a more relaxed and indulgent life. The Trialmaster has a waist strap which can look cool and can be secured behind the jacket or removed but some may find annoying. I would think most punters would prefer the Fieldmaster without the strap (especially given the average age of Grenadier buyers, as per the thread).

Bugger does this mean I have ordered the wrong car, I will need a field master jacket, I wonder what options we will have.

It has been suggested you will get a voucher/code to use on the Belstaff website so you may be able to order either jacket (or maybe something else to the same value?), I think they are the same price.

Are the trail masters still wax cotton.
I still have mine I got when I was 18. Rode bikes in it for nearly 20 years.
Looks like it... and that's awesome to hear!

Yeah as a young fella I used to live in it. Didn’t have a car so rode everywhere.
Would love some feedback... if we get a credit I wouldn't be able to decide between the Field or Trial, I wouldn't need the belt. Although I am not opposed to it, nor my body. lol

The jacket in the picture is an original trialmaster jacket. It’s wax cotton and originally came with a belt.

Definitely not a thing you woukd wear on cloth seats as would make a hell of a mess.

Also it takes about two years to get it comfortable! But once you do they are awesome.

I think fabrics have come along way now so wax cotton probably outdated.

With the sizing I found they fit true, but that is without extra layers such as a thick jumper or pullover. The quality is still very high but they are relatively thin for a jacket (waxed cotton with fabric lining so not overly warm), if layering up go a size up.

Not on the Australian site, still go up to 5XL. Hope we get a voucher as I think my “physique” is probably not Trialmaster material. I am in shape, and that shape is round.
