Belstaff Jacket email from IA

Just got the email to claim my Belstaff jacket. Maybe they were waiting for the Cyber Monday sale.

Is it automatically issued in black? The image in the email looks like a brown jacket.

This forum does not verify anything. I was a little suspicious when I did not receive an email confirmation, so I submitted again. I even tried submitting with a bogus email and it was successful.

I know my dealership, Mossy Houston, has told me repeatedly that they have nothing to do with the jackets and I get that - jacket was a IA thing not a dealership item. However, it would be a nice customer service if Ineos dealers had jackets on hand for sizing. Especially for us potote (opposite of petite) Americans who have bad experiences ordering clothes online.

Mr. Potato - it would be great, but it seems like it would be on your dealership to order several thousand dollars worth of jackets for you to try and find the one that fits you.

Might I suggest that these jackets are in fact sold at a variety of retailers across these United States where you would have such an opportunity.

in my experience with Belstaff order at least one size up fork normal for us sizing if not 2.

As others have said get a tape measure out and compare to the sizing schedule online.

When checking the sizing guide, I found it more helpful to look at the sizing guide at the link for the Trialmaster jacket found here instead of reviewing the link provided with the e-mail - found here. Click the "View Guide" link above "Add to Bag" at the Trialmaster jacket link This chart shows sizes in single sizes instead of ranges. So, if you wear a 42 US, that would correspond to a 52 EU. That's my size, and I went a step up to a 54 EU, because the detailed measurements (you can convert from cm to inch - see upper right corner of the size guide) track better with my chest, hip, waist, and arm length. Also, I happen to have a size 56 Roadmaster jacket that is pretty much the same and I think it is a little bit too big on me. The tip to know you are looking at EU sizes at the order link is key. I feel sorry for any guys who are US size 44 and accidentally ordered a size 44 EU!

For those ordering Fieldmaster jackets, I assume the Belstaff store link to it will have a similar dialed in size guide.

Damnit, no email. Another thing to hunt down with IA customer service.

It looks like these have European zippers instead of the zipper pull tab being on the right side these look to be on the left

yup, nothing from them on my end either.....I just went to the website the email points to (after I logged in) and put an order in for the jacket...we'll see if that does anything though.... I got the first IG in CO over a year ago and my profile/order still says pending with a q4 2023 delivery date :p

I don't believe the jacket was going to be free - just discounted if I recall correctly. Someone with more knowledge will come along and provide further detail.
I've been here from the beginning and I am pretty sure the jacket was supposed to be 100% free (at least for the early adopters).

I measured and the results were frightening to say the least. Oh well, I can use an extra tent.

Going to try and help people out here on sizing. I’m 5’ 10” 190 Lb 44” chest, 32” waist, average build. Not my military service all bulked up build. Just a retired pilot. My Centenary Jacket is size 42US/52 EU it fits to size and I can wear a heavy wool sweater or just a t shirt and it fits as I would expect. I’ve also got a 44us/54EU jacket from my dad and it’s loose, it still fits OK but just a little over size for my frame.
