Belstaff Jacket email from IA

I’ll be honest - part of me was looking forward to the jacket and it probably played a small part in me ordering the Trialmaster over a different spec’d build.

I didn't realise that wax coat jackets where that popular in US

I just wrote for an update. Received this Oct 1. INEOS is always pleasant when they reply. I take them at their word. When I purchased the truck I was told I would receive an order number. That process was ended right as I took delivery (my luck). I’ll check back again in three months.

Hi Edward,

Thank you very much for contacting INEOS Automotive.

We are currently making changes to the way we supply Belstaff jackets to our customers.

Due to necessary improvements in systems and processes related to the fulfilment of this programme, customers who have already received their vehicle have unfortunately been affected by this.

Please be assured that we will work to prioritise them once the new process is in place.

Currently, no Belstaff jackets will be delivered. We will keep you informed by email as to when you will be able to place orders again.

We apologise if you have not been updated on this situation.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Have a nice day!

Thanks,
Rebeca

I got that same reply 3 months ago. Took delivery Dec 2023 and still no jacket.

I received this yesterday (2024 Oct 3), from: INEOS Belstaff Customer Service <automotive.customerservicebelstaff@ineos.com> #weaksauce

Thank you for reaching out to INEOS Automotive.

I appreciate your inquiry, and I regret to inform you that we cannot provide a specific timeline for the completion of the entire process at this moment.

Rest assured, our committed team is working diligently to move things forward. We will keep you informed via email regarding when order placements will be back on track.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to get in touch.

Best regards,

Mark

At least the jackets, when you get one, are waterproof; can't say the same for my Grenadier. I opened the passenger door the other day and water gushed out, and there was I thinking I'd been spared the door seal failure.

On the jacket issue, my dealer in Australia posted today on their facebook group (so assuming it’s ok to repeat here) that jacket deliveries were expected to recommence in Dec with communication to customers occurring in Nov

I must admit that I was waiting for the first rainfall after I got mine to see if that fault was present. It came down to cats and dogs, and, luckily, nothing for me. However, a rear parking sensor decided to stay on. Thankfully, the WD40 trick fixed that.

No Jacket for me, I did t buy a fancy enough truck. I just received the Centenary Field Jacket that I ordered, nice piece of kit for sure.

I was never even offered a Jacket, I don’t know if that’s a Canada Thing. I was unaware of a free jacket with purchase.
It is. 🇨🇦 With Trialmaster or Fieldmaster. Make an inquiry about your jacket delivery and you’ll probably get a canned and disappointing response back from IA. Like I did. A few times. It won’t help much but it can’t hurt to generate a bit more pressure and noise on an unkept promise. Dealers have no role or influence in this AFAIK.

I don't believe the jacket was going to be free - just discounted if I recall correctly. Someone with more knowledge will come along and provide further detail.

If the question about the liner was directed at me based on my post above, no - there isn't a liner for the Centenary Field Jacket, and even if there was, wouldn't have ordered one as it wouldn't be much use here in Southern California..

Hey,

So actually for the centenary there is it’s a quilted inner jacket. It zips in! But yes in California I don’t think there would be call for it. It’s a great jacket I think you’ll like it.
