That surprises me. My jacket is black. I had no choice.I was a bit peeved that you only get a choice of Olive colour.
Interested in this as well.Dumb question - do we know for a fact that NA buyers get jackets too?
Well, I certainly hope so!Dumb question - do we know for a fact that NA buyers get jackets too?
I would think you will get them too. It is a handy marketing stunt: we buy a Fieldmaster or Trialmaster, and get the jacket by paying for it, and they hope we will like it ...Dumb question - do we know for a fact that NA buyers get jackets too?
Why didn't they offer it as an option then?Personally, I don't see it as a marketing gimmick.
That's the problem with the PU coated leather they've used on cars the past few decades.I unintentionally experimented with the waxed fabric effect on the gray Recaros. I forgot to take off my jacket (it's wonderful anyway) when I entered the Gren and in just three minutes I could see the marks on the leather of the seat. Luckily removed with a microfibre cloth. Conclusion: if you don't like the snobbish effect of the Belstaff stain, take off your jacket when you drive...
Pretty dissapointed in this - I don't really want a green jacket, would have been happy with black.I was a bit peeved that you only get a choice of Olive colour.
Yes, I found the arm sizes compared to other sizes were a bit odd, but long!According to the sizing chart: the chest is an ego pumping 4xl (118cms) but the overarms are a modest ‘large’ (87cms) … what the hell… Turns out I’m a T-Rex
For they guys who have already received their jackets, have you got any advice?
Maybe US doesn't? Probably depends if they included it in the initial marketing. If Belstaff are not targeting that market then I can imagine that Ineos just didn't cost it in the first place; Im not suggesting either is the right outcome, just noting that this very international forum might have set an expectation that Ineos might not have expected, in the absence of communication from them.I would think you will get them too. I only used it once ...
If you have other jackets in your wardrobe try them on and take an average of their (numerical) sizes, and use that for your sizing. For example I have 2 jackets, different brands, both Aust/UK size 42. So I ordered the UK size 42. The Belstaff Trialmaster sizing was generous ....fit was excellent, allowing for a pullover under the jacket.According to the sizing chart: the chest is an ego pumping 4xl (118cms) but the overarms are a modest ‘large’ (87cms) … what the hell… Turns out I’m a T-Rex

Yes, I agree with you. For me, these types of jackets are working clothes. But I admit, I took care of my first Barbour wax jacket and was proud of it. But that was 30 years ago. Comparable to the black Adidas Samba more than 40 years ago.Why didn't they offer it as an option then?
I would have spent the money on other options.
But ok, I am not unhappy with the jacket.
Did you give it him back?Luckily for me I had a visit from @DenisM , who happened to have his jacket, and which happened to fit me perfectly!
It will be a stress free order for me.
There may be quite a few disappointed men and women!Maybe @DenisM can visit others on his round trip, then they will also be relaxed for their orders.
