I ordered the fieldmaster and optioned it inUnless it's standard on the Trialmaster and you want that.
No doubt everything will come to light in the fullness of time.

It's a roller coaster...I’ll go with the pictures as in the “ working in the engine bay thread “. I was basing my posts firstly on those pictures of EFB batteries then others were saying AGM So I deferred. I’ll stay quiet now until I see a finished product
I suspect too....It's a roller coaster...
I was punching the air when I read they were AGM, swearing when I heard they'd been "downgraded" to EFB.
The reality is Ineos could shave a little off their production costs and fit bog standard lead acid batteries.
_That's_ what we get up in the morning for!!We won't know until we take delivery and whatever they are I'll still be smiling.
Nice picture. Petrol or diesel ?View attachment 7797280
I think you've got choices.
Under the bonnet there's a big positive post with a red cover.
Open rear passenger door for direct access to battery.
Front or rear high load sockets with a set of these:

I actually don't know ~ everything's quite well hidden and I need to spend more time on my engine recognition silhouettes to tell the difference.Nice picture. Petrol or diesel ?
Isn't avoiding short circuits all about the sequence you connect your cables rather than the length of any cable?A bit off topic:
Again, I see the same recurring design flaw of almost all jumper cables. Why are positive and negative cables not manufactured with different lengths?
That would certainly avoid some short circuits
@DCPU nice implementation and pictures. When we all get our vehicles I’m sure we come up with many ingenious and concrete ideas which wires and plugs to fit here and there. Very much looking forward to this. Not too sure until I get the vehicle. But maybe able to make some leads up to fit the high amperage ouler point under the bonnet as per Grenadier pocket guide or wire up some leads and an Anderson connector as I have in my defender for that very purpose. Never used them for jump starting myself only others. View attachment 7797284View attachment 7797285View attachment 7797285
I think it's the Diesel. Coudn't detect the part marked below on B58 but on B57 web pictures.Nice picture. Petrol or diesel ?

I like the idea of that positive battery post. Is it there purely as a means of jump starting yourself or another vehicle ?View attachment 7797280

Never thought about this, but you are definitely right: very simple and much safer!A bit off topic:

Exactly. And as you know, never splice + and - wires at the same level , for the same reason.Again, I see the same recurring design flaw of almost all jumper cables. Why are positive and negative cables not manufactured with different lengths?

"Jump aboard!" ?As an aside, how does one jump start a vehicle with an inboard battery?
Yep, I have one similar from iTechworld - works a treat. But I also have a set of heavy duty jumper cables just in case.Hers an easier way of jump starting. I have my own and we use at work for emergencies View attachment 7797411
