Hi all, Is a dull whine noise when decelerating ( coasting) normal for the Grenadier ( diesel)? I only notice it if I’m driving over 70k’s per hour and it goes away as soon as I touch the accelerator. Cheers

That is the pressure sensor. The valve is on the other side. I could not think why the sensor should make any noise, whereas a valve might make a noise (due to moving parts). Have you checked the other end of the rail for the ticking noise? AWo

Same problem with mine as the temps here have warmed up in the last week. Fan off - no noise. Fan on, even on 1, is very noisy. Noise coming from a fan at front right lower bumper.

Is it a stone trapped in the disc? What mileage have you done, and how much meat is left on the pad ( I am wondering if it is a sticking caliper ). Try reversing backwards as fast as it safe to do and the slam your brakes on, does that stop it.

Hello everyone, without having heard the noise that bothers you, you can't actually comment on it... a quiet, high-frequency noise when steering and then a little louder when you stop the steering is normal!

I actually got rid of my RR bars because I hated the wind noise. It was loud in front and moved back to b pillar - both loud - and I don’t have safari windows. I switched to Leitner bars and added their wire guides. So much better in terms of noise level.

They do make noise eventually but these are standard ball joint rod ends that could be sourced annually as replacements from McMaster Car for minimal cost.

Yep continue to harrass them. It is not normal. The first vehicle I had was silent for the 15000km I had it. The second vehicle I had like you had a noise. It was very obvious. They replaced the pump and now no noise.

There seem to be more reports from the US about this issue, maybe its due to the diesel being a louder engine which may conceal or reduce the perceived noise of the pump in many of the ROW vehicles.

Solid engine and transmission mounts as befitting the nature of the vehicle. No spongy mounts allowing the drivetrain to slop around off road. So yes, some noise, vibration and harshness get through.
