Was expecting to see $78K as spec'd vs the actual $84K (TrialMaster with select options), All in all pretty close but I'll be honest it's still frustrating as I have already adjusted expectations higher several times.

I'll most like consider removing the option of front tow bar mount as I've read it can not support the operational load of the removable winch.

14mpg across is the board is worse than expected for the tuned B58. Surprised to see such a significant discrepancy between US and UK MPG ratings, I hope it won't be that bad because that is a serious range limiter for touring prior to aftermarket options.
I read the 14 mpg for both highway and in town as place holder numbers. I can't imagine that the highway mpg is the same as the in town rate. Maybe I'm suffering from wishful thinking.

Does anyone know if it can use regular unleaded or does it need premium based on the BMW turbo? 14MPG is rough.
My understanding is will be ok on 87, better with 91.

Not suggested to run 87oct or 89oct, if you care about engine health/longevity/performance. Will the engine ECU/ECM "deal" with 87-89oct? Yes, but you'll be beating the crap out of your spark plugs and coil packs at the minimum. ECU will probably default to a safe base map and you won't get the expected full "performance" from the engine. This is a premium European turbocharged engine; run 91-93oct as designed; my $0.02.

Yep, my big camping rig getting ~8mpg mixes, on 37s. I do have an aftermarket 60gal fuel tank though; EPA has no involvement with that. Again, I think there's a possibility to get a 52gal midship tank into your RAM, but you'd have to come to the west coast for install.
But EPA DOES have a say, no? Tell me how many APPROVED petrol expansion tanks that aren't factory options, or simply transfer tanks are out there. Not one-offs, not fab jobs ;) There aren't many...if any at all. I know there are some Aussie manufacturers out there for Yotas and such that may? be approved, but require importing. Which is fine...because I CAN get a tank for an LC200 :sneaky:

I looked into the 52 gal...only able to work on the 8-ft bed. I have the 6'-4" Le sigh.

It's interesting to read about people complaining about pricing. I know I haven't read as much as others but the pricing came in exactly where I expected it to be.
It's a small production run, bespoke, luxury vehicle, built from outsourced parts.

Anyone that thought pricing would be in line with Ford, Jeep, and Land Rover's mass produced rigs that are designed and built fully in house, was seriously high.

But it wasn’t supposed to be a luxury vehicle. Therein lies the pricing disconnect. And, quite frankly, it’s not a luxury vehicle.

I hate to say I told you, but . . . I told you.

I'll just quote myself here from months ago: "Youtube reviewers speculating the US version Grenadier is going to go for $50k are smoking crack. I won't be surprised if it's double that."

Like everyone, I wish the Grenadier was cheaper. But it's also sort of darkly amusing to read the reactions here because the pricing is basically exactly what I predicted. With taxes, a decently specced Trailmaster/Fieldmaster comes out at around $92-$94k. Vehicle tax is 6.25% here in Texas, plus about $1200 for title and registration. Delivery fee of $1200-$1800 is pretty standard across all brands, so you're realistically looking at just over $100k USD out the door. Pretty much what I said in my very first post on the forum.

There was zero chance this vehicle was ever going to sell for $60k the way the talking heads on Youtube predicted. Those guys are clueless and consistently underestimate real world costs by multiples of tens of thousands of dollars.

With the large number of capable 4WD vehicles on the North American market, the Grenadier will likely remain a cool second vehicle for buyers with significant disposable income. Absolutely no one is going to use it as a work/farm truck. It's a luxury 4WD.

The thing dejecting me is all of the unknowns. Dealer marking up installs, are they going to add $5k to the price, etc? Still many unknowns. No service center near me, which if I have a major breakdown I don't want to tow it 4 hours.

Hopefully more is known over the next few weeks.

It's going to be a very difficult uphill climb for Ineos to gain any meaningful market share in the North American market considering the large number of capable 4WD vehicles on the market.
When you look at counties with a high VAT and remove that, it was reasonable to think that the starting price could have been a decent amount lower. I'm about $10k higher than I expected with my build, but that is before any dealer install or other markups. I'm registering at my hope in Montana, so thankfully no sales tax added for me.

Is there a way to put up a survey to see how many reservation holders are of the opinion that it's; priced low/priced as expected/priced high/priced too high and for that reason I am out?

Many of us have been on this journey a while. Three and a half years for myself. So when we started this journey the price expectation was much lower... they have also said priced to comparable spec'd vehicles in the market IE Jeep Ford Land Rover.
If I started this journey last money or even a few months ago the price would have been around what I would have expected... so now many of us feel we have been led in bad faith. As well as we are early reservation holders but never got an opportunity for first round of pricing.

And no property tax either. You want a roommate? I will take up no room.

Yeah, I can see that. I made my reservation in November. Fair point.

This is a big middle finger to the US customers. Loved how their reasoning for the first hike was shipping costs and supply chain. Well those are back down and looks like we didn’t see any price reliefs. Not only that but now they’ve walked back their statements on pricing being fixed. Turns out the dealers get to charge fees for everything so they get a cut. That $80k edition is starting at $90k whether you like it or not. They just said what they did for pricing so everyone would spread the word.

Wonder how much of this is to help fund their truck and EV
