Keen for this asap in Aus!I reached out to them and we have a discount for forum members. I was waiting to get my hands on a grenadier to give them the spec to develop a mount.

I think it's good when you put ideas into practice. It looks very neat.Working on a phone mount, have prototyped it in green PLA+ and fits perfectly. I have longer M4 bolts on order to secure properly. Been trying to print a final version in PETG but it keeps failing, I lost my printer settings in a recent PC wipe & reinstall and can't get them quite right, will post the final version when sorted.

GPS does not work in my Grenadier over 20kph so I tend to unlink my phone from CarPlay and use the navigation stand alone. We are still waiting on the second part of the software update in Oz to fix the GPS.I think it's good when you put ideas into practice. It looks very neat.
Nevertheless, I wonder why you and many others have to keep an eye on the smartphone? I put mine in the Cubby Box at the start of the journey and only take it out again when I get out. I use the Grenadier display for all the controls. Because I have the duplicated display there. And I sometimes switch over to the passengers' smartphones.
Ah, ok. Thank you for explanation. Then I understand. Because for me, the Touch is an image of my smartphone. I can use all the functions. That's why I've always wondered why people from Germany in particular have made mounts for their smartphones.GPS does not work in my Grenadier over 20kph so I tend to unlink my phone from CarPlay and use the navigation stand alone. Might be lots of very important people in Germany (and elsewhere) wanting to read their emails as soon as they hit their inbox???Ah, ok. Thank you for explanation. Then I understand. Same here. But I do believe some people are emotionally attached to their phones. Like toddlers, must never let them out of sight!Nevertheless, I wonder why you and many others have to keep an eye on the smartphone? Yes, at least I can confirm it for this country, smartphone use is a bad habit. I often notice people playing with their smartphones while driving. This causes accidents. In my opinion, the penalties are too low.Might be lots of very important people in Germany (and elsewhere) wanting to read their emails as soon as they hit their inbox???

Looks nice. Color clashes a bit with the saddle leather thoughWorking on a phone mount, have prototyped it in green PLA+ and fits perfectly. I have longer M4 bolts on order to secure properly. You remove the three existing recessed M4 head cap screws/bolts from the dash, these are short but grip tightly into a metal captive nut inside the screw holes of the panel. There are "barrels" (not sure what to call them) on the back of the mount that snugly push into the holes and then you would insert longer screws to secure. It holds tightly as is just on the barrels, the three screws should lock it in solidly. When I get my longer screws will try it out and let you know.Looks nice. Color clashes a bit with the saddle leather though
What do the screws mount into? Are there preexisting holes? Did you make a backing plate?
I like this. I see the practicality for sure. However I have no clue of this 3d printing stuff... Can it snap easily? Or have you implemented a weak point, I ask as I worry if some Muppet hops in my car and hits it. Ild rather it snap then do damage to the centre hub panelling. Thanks for sharing the file tooPhone holder in Overture PLA Pro Space Grey, 3D file can be found here:

File suits RHD as-is, or mirror on X axis for LHD. Made to suit iPhone 14 Pro in Nomad Modern leather case which is approx 75mm wide x 11mm deep.

When allowing Muppets in my car I tend to keep them on a short leash in the back seat or load area. You could print it with thin walls (2 or 1?) and less or no infill (10% or less?), this would make the whole structure weaker and possibly allow it to fail before it caused any damage to the dash panel. Also stick to printing in standard PLA which is weaker and snaps easier. I personally chose print settings to make it quite strong and sturdy to prevent any failure. It does protrude on an 45 degree angle from the dash but stays within the centre console area, so its not sticking out into the passenger's space and would not get knocked by a knee or other protruding limb easily.I like this. How do you use Siri with the Grenadier? For instance I get a notification of a whatsapp message but I cannot read it when I press the Gren's screen. Is this where Siri helps?Hi Rovie
I too was hoping that the central display would be good enough that I wouldn't need access to my phone. Not as yet, the case. With the aid of SIRI, I am nearly there but not quite.
That's why Manual Transmissions are a life saver.Yes, at least I can confirm it for this country, smartphone use is a bad habit. I often notice people playing with their smartphones while driving. This causes accidents. In my opinion, the penalties are too low.
