For me, the mounting set up is for wireless charging of 2 phones. One work and other personal. My current 4 year old phone no longer has ability to charge

Version 1:
Using the back door/ladder as accessories mounting area. I hope to not load much up top to keep the weight lower.. coming from a truck with a lot of weight up top I want to be able to have a vehicle with a lower center of gravity this time around.

Here are some aluminum tube clamps off Amazon that have a mounting hole.

Which hold a full length molle panel to mount the maxtrax.

I got bigger plans for that space, but this will be a start to figure out how much space is back there to work with.

@sean303boards Ingenious! Can the panel also be fitted to carry snowboards or skis?
This is just the start. But I can totally see a board or ski mount fitted to it for sure. Working on seeing what sort of things I can get mounted and fit without rubbing the wheel or smashing into the tail light and such when the door is opened. Plan to have it modular for a “choose your own adventure” style of setup.

Totally. Where do I go to purchase one of those boys? I’m on my phone so hard to navigate around the forums.
RIGHT HERE

Click on the club logo and they’re right there. A 2-pack is nice - one for the truck and one for somewhere else. I have one on my toolbox!

That looks fantastic. I bet with the right standoffs, that molle board or something like it could mount right to the door and take the ladder weight out of the equation.

How do you open the back door with the recovery boards in place?

I would imagine you snake your hand in from the left side inward behind the boards

Correctly so.. since the “steps” bump out from the ladder.. there is enough space to get my arm through and grab the handle from the left side of the boards.

Where did you get the panel?
The company is called warrior products.. think they are out of Oregon. Never ordered from them before or heard of them.. think they do jeep stuff. But this molle panel was dirt cheap $139! Pre drilled for maxtrax fitment and dual rotopax mount.. came with a bunch of carriage bolts and washers an nut options to accommodate your mounting needs.

I also mounted here, and then moved across to the spare wheel for expedition use.
The issue in our case was that fine bulldust penetrated the door release making it difficult to operate on the angle.

Curious whether something similar can be configured to mount a Jerry can on the bottom rungs of the ladder

Can you link to which of these you ordered @sean303boards :
