Miles up to 7900; today I supported our local Battle of Britain Church Parade with serving members, veterans and a lot of Air Cadets, with the Grenadier as a mobile road block, with other members of Leicestershire & Rutland 4x4 Response.
Very rewarding way to spend an afternoon.

Every time I see that BB with white top I like it more and more!

Hi Jert, Would you be able to measure how high the tread portion of the rock slider steps are off the ground and let me know what size rim and tire you have on your Grenadier. I am considering ordering these, however need to know the height in advance to see if they would be low enough for my wife and nieces and nephews to get into the Grenadier. Thanks, DaBull

I left my son and wife and granddaughter today in the region of Budapest, Hungary. 😢😭

There was an Hungarian who really tried to delay my leaving, at a red light he hit me in the back:

The damage was small, and he offered me the equivalent of 10 euro. Even his old car wasn't very damaged.

I knew my car wouldn't stay new, but it becomes very fast very old   :ROFLMAO:

When I do damage to myself, I get very angry with myself. But if another careless person causes it, I get even more annoyed. Even if it's only 10 euros.

Sorry to hear that JM. Accidents happen. Day 2 of Gren ownership and i had my closest headon in memory. Both children in the car 'getting a gren treat back from school' and some prick overtook coming towards me trying to get past two cars, not realising the second one was turning into a drive. He was only saved by his ABS. Or I should say we were all saved by his ABS, I saw him fighting the wheel. Only one word for him and I use it very very rarely C8NT. Rhymes with HUNT.

For me it depends on the attitude of the guy. He was sorry, he was worried of my reaction, and I know we are all human beings, and make mistakes, therefore I wasn't angry.

But if the guy would have been an asshole ("why did you break so suddenly ", what I didn't) (or, "ooh, my beautiful Mercedes is damaged", while it was his fault) then I could become very angry.

We were both two adult persons, and reacted accordingly!

Sorry to hear that @Jean Mercier . I was afraid that I could be to timid with my car and treat it more like a precious treasure than like a tool, which it is (a powerful, handsome, precious, enchanting tool of timeless beauty, of course). So I gave it to my wife just two hours after I had picked it up. Worked like a charm.

Hi DaBull,

rims are 17” steel + 265/70r17. Currently the “entrance” is 45cm for the front row and 46cm for the back. Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Gerd

Oeefff well it does show the grenny is build strongly!
Imagine his car being a newer version it would probably be in bits haha

Good that you both reacted as grown ups that shows you are a great man! :)

Now the question is do you think the red reflector is being sold by INEOS for 10 euros?
Hope that this is the last thing which ages your car in a good bit of time.

Very nice jert.

I am thinking of some for the side windows as in Australia - I don't think it would be legal to cover the rear windows

But it's legal to drive a single/dual cab with a canopy . What a crazy world we inhabit!
I think the rules for commerical vehicles and trucks etc. are different to passeenger cars I don't know for sure - anyway it's already a very poor view out through the Grenadier cargo doors

The last point - Exactly.
What about these cashed up 4x4 influencers who take a Stihl to the back of a (non commercial) Landcruiser 300 or Nissan Y62 SW and install a canopy?
Or is Queensland the wild west?
