no Tazzieman - not fruitless - this thread is important because it's a form of therapy - allowing members to vent, release their frustrations, then relax and carry on with life
Go for a run or stiff walk. Or in your case , cycle. Longlasting effects on your blood pressure ;) plus fresh air, if you are lucky enough not to live in a big city.

Thanks for changing your tune, because Lynn Calder didn't say anything of the kind and it just makes the point that we have to be careful of being factual or what is the point of having a forum?
Max

When Lynn speaks, INEOS is speaking, by the power vested in her, not in a personal capacity chatting over a beer.

This is small beer but, just saying, INEOS put a marker down.

Don't put a marker down if you don't want customers to follow it.

Is that like a breadcrumb? Not a term I have heard.
There is something in that magic screen about breadcrumbs I think.

Ah, I see - like acid is diluted in water, ’venting’ members can bring their frustration and vitriol here to dilute it in the patient goodwill of others.

After dumping, they log off and get on with their life unencumbered: it’s like trail trash applied to social discourse.

I see how the impatient benefit, but the ‘fruits’ for the community as a whole are not clear to me, I must say.

I'm confident this thread will reach 100 pages and thus create a longstanding forum record, possibly never to be beaten!
We should be proud of such an achievement. It's taken a fair amount of effort so far, even though it has been fruitless.
I am sick of waiting for it to get to 100 pages

Sure we will reach the 100 pages before April 1st ... I bought this for my eldest son in 2011 when I came back from Australia (he studied Political Sciences) , and offer it also to all of you in this thread ...

Someone ,but not me , will say it's "pedaling" but I'll point out we are talking about selling cars 😆
One is pedaling a bike in the USA...one is pedalling a bike in the UK...or one is pedaling on spell check...whatever you are trying to peddle...maybe a point...happy pushing it.

OK, been thinking much more about our situation.

FACT: Many Grenadier's are built. Some are at dealers others at Hambach.
FACT: Potential owners know that their vehicle is built.
FACT: There is a problem preventing sale of said vehicle. Highly likely to be a SOFTWARE issue.
FACT: It's now mid March and production has been in progress for many months.
FACT: INEOS is hemorrhaging cash at a tremendous rate with unsold vehicles piling up.
UNKNOWN: When will the software patch be available to resolve the problem?
GUESS: Once software patch is known, an army of engineers will be diverted to fix all vehicles in a timely manner. Therefore, I would assume all vehicles will be released quickly.
CONCERN: At the present rate of software rectification, we may not see our vehicles for weeks.
CONCERN: The patch is insufficient and our vehicles fail after delivery.

Like everyone else I am
Basically talking out of my arse, so basically just guesses. I suspect there are several issues. Most likely the vehicles released from batch and at dealers genuinely mainly need soft/firmware updates. But there are still vehicles it seems in the hold at Hambach which likely need hardware as well. I wonder if maybe an ECU needs replacement in some or all vehicles which would explain a lot with the chip shortages, a low volume new customer like INEOS probably starts a long way down the queue waiting for chips/ecus

I posted earlier... some time ago now, that Ukraine made chips and harnesses for BMW...I can imagine that your thoughts on Ineos being down the queue are on the money...From memory my line was, BMW knows what side its bread is buttered when the chips and down...making light of things will get us through to a hundred pages, so we don't have to wait too long...(y);)
