What Rocksliders / Side Steps did you choose

Good morning :)

I have been driving my Grenadier for about 3 weeks, and with my dad and kids i think its time to add some rock sliders with side step options lol.

I went to Overland Expo East and saw a couple of options in person. But most items are still online… so it is hard to judge.

From looking st different options i am really liking the black sheep sliders with side step option. Except for the price😂

My criteria are that they will function as sliders as i am a newbie and certain to make mistakes 😂 but still need side steps to help my dad get in the vehicle…

What did you choose and why? If you dont mind sharing.

Any photos?

Thanks
Gabe
Dissent Offroad. Superior materials and build quality. A few come close, but none are better.

So didn’t see this in the thread - what do we think of the factory OEM rock sliders? I’ve got some incentive money to use and seems a pretty decent option…

They are ok, I have them for the same reason: the accessory incentive. They are totally useless as a step though and it's a tall car. I'm 6'2'' and can just barely slide into the driver's seat without needing to pull myself up at stock height. So if you are shorter than that, have shorter than that loved ones, or are planning on taller tires/springs, I'd use the accessory credit elsewhere like those rear drawers. And then get significantly better rock sliders aftermarket that stick out for more protection and a step.

I just got my Signature autosports slider/steps mounted up. They probably give up a little ground clearance compared to others, but they work well as steps, and with two 5' tall or less ladies in my family the step function is important. Fit and finish is excellent, they seem very sturdy and installation wasn't bad.

I opted for the Ineos step on delivery as a compromise knowing the aftermarket would catch up. Today I pulled the trigger on the Buzz Overland stainless slider steps which offer a 390 mm / 15.35" step up.

The pluses are stainless over cheap made in China OEM piece of shit bits. the cons are Buzz Overland branded bits on my Trialmaster. It could be worse I suppose.

lol it’s just a bunch of metal tubes.. you know lot of stuff in the IG is made in China? 🇨🇳

The irony of course being, suggesting anything metal from Britain is of the highest quality. Dissolving in water or falling apart seems to have been a historical deliberate design feature.
When i see the website’s currency in GBP.. I’m like hell naw.
