What is the exact procedure to train/learn/register new TPMS sensors to the Grenadier?

Have now got the Autel MX sensors that I cloned from the OEM ones and put them in my BFG Muds. All is now well.

Rotated the tyres again. Will have to see whether need to clone them all again once in different corners.

First time since Sept 2023 I have had no amber warnings on both screens. Quite like the uncluttered look!

Will likely buy another 5 MX sensors and clone those into my AT's if the Gren doesn't recognise the spare on the muds when rotate in another 5k miles.

Man, would love to be able to clone and program sensors myself. Currently am pulling them off the stock alloy wheel/tires and re-installing onto my winter set-up. And vice versa. Really don't like this scenario. And was ready to buy the Autel sensor and 508 until re-read these posts to see the ability to manually code was removed. I welcome reading any updates people have. Thanks!

Can you get ahold of a 408?

So the Autel 508 won’t allow manual coding and the 408 will assuming its firmware has not been updated is that correct? Also, even if you bought OEM sensors from Ineos for a secondary set of wheels you are still stuck going to the dealer in order to get the sensors in the new wheels to register with the vehicle is that correct?

So what are most folks doing when changing wheels? Switching the OEM sensors over to the new wheels remembering what location they were originally installed in? Forgoing TPMS altogether and dealing with the warnings on the dash? Putting in aftermarket sensors on the new wheels and copying the original ID’s, assuming the tool you are using has that capability?

What is the likelihood any of this TPMS business could be resolved if IA ever does a software update so we can avoid all this hassle? Any other vehicle on the market with TPMS you can rotate tires, buy new OEM sensors and the vehicle recognizes things and you are good to go. This is like tying your shoelaces together and trying to run… get your act together on this IA!

I think I've found a 508 that hasn't had the software update. Says can manually code. Will find out soon. Thanks!

Well, it didn't work. Only have the 'auto create' sensor programming. So much for truth in advertising on the unit (TS508WF) I bought! Now am still stuck with MX sensors but no way to program them. Anand, maybe you should sell a programming service. :) Or anyone else. I can read my IDs for each of my existing sensors. And I have new sensors ready to be programmed. As asked by another, if someone has a unit that will program them, I am happy to mail my sensors and the codes to clone/program. And will pay for it!

I’m in Canada but can do it. I think that getting hit with duties would suck though

Let me confirm mine still does it and it didn't autoupdate over wifi while in its storage case... I need to reprogram mine since the wheels got shifted around with the new tires today.. This won't happen until I'm home on Monday, but assuming mine didn't update, I'd be more than happy to program sensors for you

I am more than willing to try, I have a TS508 and I still have the ability to manually enter sensors. I won't update it again.

Anyone try this tool? It says can reprogram by activation. It looks like the older version of the Autel.

Or this one

What Autel Model/version is able to program the sensors, and how can I identify one? Holding off on new tires until I can do all of this on my own.

Mine is a TS508, no Wi-Fi and I have the ability to still manually enter. It is requesting an update, so not sure if you found one that has been updated it would maintain the manual entry ability.

I'm no expert on this, but it appears to depend on when the software/version was updated.
I bought a TS508 that said it had manual ability to program. However, when machine arrived, it did not. I avoided registering and updating it, hoping I could figure out a way. But didn't fly. Mine is on software version V128, hardware version V100 (US) - i also tried changing region to Europe, sensor version V7.21, vehicle version V2.70, and manufacture date 9/21/2024. Hope this gives some insight. If anyone gets their hands on some that WILL allow manual programming, I'm in.

Im on version V1.46, still appear to have the ability to manually enter, unless there is something I'm missing. More than willing to test a sensor out as I have 4 unused ones from another project.

Appears to be successful at least on the autel. This is my driver front TPMS ID from the Ineos

Anyone in the US with the proper version, who can manually program Autel MX sensors, willing to do it for a reasonable fee, please just let me know. I will send the sensors, the code for each, and a pre-paid envelope to mail them back!
