What is the exact procedure to train/learn/register new TPMS sensors to the Grenadier?

Ditto here in Austin, looking for someone w/ early Autel TPMS program unit / software, who can assist (paid) in manually programing Autel MX-sensors to OEM TPMS unit codes for a second set of wheels. I pulled the OEM TPMS unit codes using a Sept/24 purchased TW508WF but auto create is the only option available on my 508 to program the MX-sensors. I have the MX-sensors (actually two sets - don't ask) as well second set of wheels and tires. FWIW I'm heading to Moab 4/29-30 via Albuquerque and returning 5/5-6 via Denver and could meet up in Moab or space between. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!

Come find me in Moab one of those evenings, I'll bring my Autel tool with me

I am installing Braid wheels (same as the GP Factor rig) next week. Originally I was thinking I’d use an aftermarket set of tpms so I could just leave the stock sensors in the factory steel wheels. However, it doesn’t appear to be that simple. I don’t plan to reuse the factory wheels, so I suppose I can remove the factory tpms and reuse them in the new wheels assuming they’ll fit. Is this what others are doing as well or have I missed something here? Thanks!!

Yeah I brought over my OEM TPMS sensors to my new wheels/rims and sold the factory wheels with no TPMS.

In the various threads you will see a number of approaches.
For me, I wanted separate tire/wheels for winter, and then to swap out for the spring/summer/fall to the OEM tires/wheels. I started by physically moving the OEM TPMS each tire transition, but this last time I bought Autel MX 315-433 sensors and got some help programming those sensors to the same codes as the OEM sensors. In essence, copying the codes from each OEM sensor to the new sensors. And then installing those on the tire/wheel set-up.
If you will not use the OEM wheels, easiest thing is to remove those OEM sensors and put on your new set-up.

What device did you use to program the Autel sensors?

The Autel Maxi TPMS TS408. One big learning of mine was that the version of software really matters. If is too old, they don't have the Grenadier in their supported list. If is too recent, then does not allow manual programming of the sensors (example, many of the TS508s are updated and do not allow manual programming). I found someone kind enough, with the right model, to program for me. I think I've bought one that will now allow me to as well. (picture attached - you want the 'copy by manual input' as one of your device's methods. Not all have this anymore

What you need to know is the code for each of your OEM sensors (e.g. driver front is A6F8973, etc). If you know those, you can likely find a device, or mail the sensors to one of us who have one, to try and program new sensors for you. Hope this helps
