Jean my friend very good write up. Out of curiosity Did you perform an engine oil level check ?
Have never seen an oil level low warning sign with any of the other cars .
Thnx !
The problem is: it is a petrol, and there is no engine oil probe, unless I missed something. Warning came up again today, but went off again.

So it’s sounds like 800+km for 90.94 liters? For US folks, that equates to about 500 miles for exactly 20 gallons = 25 miles/gal, not too bad for a vehicle Iike that.
No, no, it wasn't: it was between my previous tank fill the day before in Austria and the Luxemburg tank fill: 610 km. I still had to drive some 300 km home, so my total daytrip was 800 km, not the distance between two tank fills. My mean consumption between the two tank fills was 14.91 l/100km.

My record so far has been 616 km, filling the tank with 82.25 liters, mean consumption 13.35 l/100 km

Yes it seems a bit of a pain to have to park it on flat ground and run a programme on the screen to check the oil.
I guess even using the dipstick you would have to park it on flat ground.
I had an oil warning light come up on my Mercedes a couple of months ago.
Luckily I was near a dealer and they checked it for me and added 250ml of oil for free.
Hasn't come up again
I assume there is a dip stick under the bonnet somewhere.

My Grenadier dealer is also the biggest Mercedes dealer in Belgium. I still don't understand the logic of Ineos for this. Even a technician there complained about not knowing anything about a BMW motor.

And no, there is no dipstick in the petrol version!

Did the warning indicate how much needed to be added?

No, only "low", and as it is orange, as Ineos has extreme safety margins, and as I have to go for the first periodic maintenance within 850 km, I don't care.
Okay, this will be a pain. How are we suppose ro know how much to add? I assume a reader will tell us but still.

I mean run the electronic oil level measure . to make sure you are not actually low on oil .

Photos of the d250se install? Is this with the factory fitter 120 smartpass or your own dual battery install?
Factory 120.

3mm al plate fit under 120, some 18mm spaces under plate to lift it all up so 250 cable doesn't foul on seat support. And some over kill copper bus bars from some copper scrap

Ah, looking back at this thread, I see what you mean: the engine oil level check through the computer of the car. OK, I will try this, but my car is not parked "level" in my garden.

I thought the diesel version does have a dipstick and the manual reads don't use it. Picture page 16 shows the dipstick. Page 178 WARNING: The Diesel B57 engine does have a dipstick in the engine bay, however this must NOT be used to check engine oil level.

I'd be intrigued to know what the dipstick reading is when the electronic system gives OK

Fitted the Titan covers velcro for the boot liner in anticipation of fitting the cover tomorrow.

Tightened the winch rope on the drum and checked out the recovery equipment from Red.

Worked out that there's very little support on the bonnet wings, 3mm checker plate would vastly help.

Unable to post the video, says file too large.

Installed awning and, shower tent. (Need custom fab brackets)

Installed some power to rear direct second battery

Installed UHF with aerial on roof rack. unit is under seat as aerial cable not long enough to get to dash. (There is a great spot to install a hidden uhf unti in trim drivers side.)

Process not a lot of fun, involved ripping out all trim from rear to front on drivers side to run cables.

Well, didn’t find it yet. But also why is it there if you can’t use it? (Didn’t look for it neither as there is an electronic procedure to see this)

I was under the impression that if the chequer plate was ordered, there was also reinforcement to allow the 150kg weight rating.
