What did you do with your Grenadier today?

As I get sometimes a Engine oil level low warning the last days, I moved my car 10m in my garden at a location where it was "level":

Then I tried to do the oil level check, but couldn't!

I see two possible reasons:
  • the level is OK, therefore it shouldn't be measured
  • my car is 4m below sea level, therefore the computer thinks it is not safe to perform the measurement
The Service in 0 day warning means in reality Service in 887 km!:

Anyone succeeded in doing the oil level measurement?
Yes I have in a Diesel and I think there is thread related to the procedure and what pre-conditions are needed for it to work (I think you need the engine oil thoroughly warmed up amongst other things)

Hello @ECrider Thank you for the photos. I don't find this cover so practical. I wouldn't know what to put there either, especially as it's exposed to sunlight. But as with everything, it's up to each person to decide. If it suits you, then everything is fine.
exactly as you said Rovie 👍

Tested out internal load carrying.

I know they are very quick with showing orange fuel light but making service to 0 days while it is 887km away is a bit quick.
Maybe in Australia it is possibility

Had to turn the car off and go and have a beer, after that not a single error message in the next hour of driving. . Hopefully the software update will fix this.
Sounds a interesting feature, before you know it we get stickers with warning driving a Grenny can cause alcoholism haha

Next step regarding Molle/Airline panels for my Grenadier. Will look sharp when powder coated.
Panels for the doors will get black-matt with some structure. Not sure about the ones for the rear windows yet. Red like the A ?

Or maybe black with a Red A over it ?
They look sick though :)

Jert, you are a wizard (y)

I wouldn't know what to put there either,
I am thinking about neoprene. It's black, sunlight resistive and soft and heavy enough to lay flat. And the type I have (as pouches for for my photographic lenses) is not slippery. It is easy to cut and there is no need for flanging on the edges.

Looks sharp. Could you tell me where you got the insert for the rear window, please?

This Saturday I will drive 420 kms and Sunday return
Next Wednesday I will repeat that and return on Friday.
With a little bit of local driving both trips will be over 1,000 kms each.
So 2,000 kms ++ in a week.

Your engine isn't hot enough to do the measurement @Jean Mercier

Called into Ineos Cape Town to their new building still being finished and into their existing building to have the vehicle checked over and a front indicator fixed. A real friendly helpful team. Going to get a service and software update with them later in the year and get wing chequer plate fitted.
