What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I think you win the Billy Bunter award with that weight. Heaviest I've seen, although just delivered vehicles lack the rock sliders which are good for 51kg.

Mine's currently 2824kg.
Do you have the winch as well? Guess that accounts for a few of my kg as well.
Oh and had not considered that the Victorinox multi tool was in the car as well😉

Today, …
My mother-in-law reached 90 years yesterday, and the celebration was today at our home. Visitors: the daughter of my partner, her partner, the brother of my partner, and the 90 years old mother / grandmother!

So, what did I do with my grenadier:
  • While my wife was picking up her mother, I went to the Petrol Station to fill my gasoline tank: 86 liters!
  • While my wife did bring her mother back to her apartment, I made a test drive in my neighborhood and through one of the multiple very long off-road tracks of my village. Well, I know two, and they are some 100 km … eh, excuse me 100 m long.
  • I was very impressed by the behavior of the car in this tractor track, before locking my central differential. I would never have dared to do this track with my Suzuki without the diff-locking!
  • Then I tried to lock the differential and drive in Low Gear. I succeeded the first, but not the “low”. Didn’t feel a big difference though. I got at some moment a “Power Steering error”, and also “Center Diff Lock error” after having driven some meters without the error. And then, “reduced braking performance” but I think this is normal (ABS off or partially off), and then “press brake pedal”.
  • The partner of my step daughter (an engineer) was really stressed, but also very impressed: first time of his life in a 4X4 on a mud track!
  • Once back at home I tried to get the transfer box in the “LOW” position, and I succeeded, but I have to admit I have to put some real strong pressure in it!
Conclusion: delighted with some afterthoughts about the many warnings!

Other things today:
  • Almost finished my “shitty” trunk hood (I will give feedback)
  • It was raining and I have a small water infiltration at the “passenger right door side” of the car, comes from somewhere above, even when the car is parked. It doesn’t come from opening the passenger door!
  • I checked my electrical connectors including the USB ports. Probably I will make a report about it later this week, but as said before, the “INT 1” puts power on the front OUTSIDE right-side roof connector. Wrong wiring? Not tested by Ineos?
Tomorrow an assignment at some 70 km, therefore first "motorway" driving. Probably no feedback tomorrow as I have my judo training at night or call it voluntary masochism at my age :devilish:

Posted this on another thread then thought it should go here too
Set off today for a trip to the seaside, first time in the car with the wife and dogs.
During the first 40 miles nearly every warning possible came up on the dash! (yellow)
The apple phone connection continually disconnected, tried resetting etc all to no avail.
Worst, the passenger air bag system became faulty and a constant, loud, high pitched warning siren playing!!
Found warning on scree(red) would not clear. Tried all ignition off, every one out, lock it up etc, still continued to wail!
Parked up in a field, took dogs for a walk, still wailing.
Turned round and drove 50 miles home, wailing all the way!
Parked on drive, wife said this thing is not fit for delivery, or driving on the road, there's no way I'm getting in this heap of shit again till its fixed. She never swears!
As far as I can see the fuse, if I take it out, disconnect's the airbag system, with all the implications that entails.
Any suggestions greatly received.
As I posted this the wailing just stopped!
Bank holiday tomorrow so no one to fetch it
I have to agree with the Mrs for once, not fit for delivery or use on the road as it is now and waiting for three months for an update is out of the question.
Have sent email to ineos
I told everybody that we - early buyers - were "Guinea pigs", even on this forum I think I once said it.
I hope Ineos will treat us accordingly: fast solutions and honest communication and if necessary compensation for the damage.
Concerning the communication I think almost everybody agrees: almost zero "HONEST" communication, only "Good News" show, Therefore a total lack of respect for us!

If it continues like that, I will never recommend the Grenadier to anybody.

But, I am happy to have the car, very happy, was my dream.

Just showing off now i think :) ahahahah

A small water infiltration 🫣 through the roof do you think??? Fine when my old defender leaks but lots of electrics up there in the Grenadier.

No winch or RAI but all of the other bits mentioned. Mines an N1 Stationwagon.

Yes, I can't see how that can't be a universal truth.

I hope Ineos will treat us accordingly: fast solutions and honest communication
I'll just settle for the honest communication. Some solutions may be fast, others not, just as long as I'm told there are solutions or will be solutions rather than be met with silence or a shrug of the shoulders.

But, I am happy to have the car, very happy, was my dream.
I'm still looking forward to mine. 👍

Yesterday night went to my judo training. At a red light a 🚲 made a thumbs up to me, and then I recognised a team-mate, by the way the only one who knew what a Grenadier was before I explained it to them months ago.

In the dressing room, another mate entered and congratulated me, telling me that some people were looking at my 🚙 . I wanted to take my gun to chase them away, but remembered that I didn't have a gun, and that my whole team could help me to chase them away if necessary :ninja:

Today I had an unexpected assignment at 70 km from 🏡. It was 🌧 a lot. Drive was OK, but I don't like rain. On the way back I had e-call error and power steering error showing up. After some kilometres I stopped the car, turned the motor off and started it up again, slowly 🐌
Drove 🏡 without any errors anymore.

Please tell me you gave the cyclist the good ole toot. Teach him a lesson in civility.
