What did you do with your Grenadier today?

We cycled the 25 miles to pick up Barry, chucked the bikes in the back and now he’s home.

The drive is immense I tell you and there is a tonne of poke to it. Let the fun commence!!! — with Chandlers INEOS.
2 or 5 seat?

Curious to see the bikes in the rear ~ don't suppose you took any photos? 👍

looks fab 👍
very nice way to collect - bike ride then stick them in the back. I would consider the same but it's an awful route.

Back home in the early afternoon, I finished my "shit trunk cover", I will try to find some time to explain what and how I did it.
You know you are really building this up to be quite something... 🕺
  • there is no mirror in the sun visor on the passenger side. According to him this is a standard feature, specifically designed for women, and not having it can result in a divorce.
"There are no mirrors in the sun visors of the Grenadier. It was understood to be a request from company boss Sir Ratcliffe, who questioned anyone would need mirrors for an off-road vehicle."

Drove to Bruges and back (for work) in quite heavy rain: car behaves in the rain, no problems!

Back home in the early afternoon, I finished my "shit trunk cover", I will try to find some time to explain what and how I did it.

Then while waiting for my son n°2, who wanted to see my car, I searched for the "under the hood fuse box", and found it at the left side (looking at the front of the car) or at the righthand driving side, more or less in the back, in a location that's difficult to access. I hope I will not have to change a fuse soon. I'll try to make a picture in the coming days (also a difficult task!)

[EDITED]: saw that @DCPU posted a picture in the thread Does anyone have a picture of the under bonnet fuse box?

Then my son arrived: we made a small tour, the same as last Sunday (see my video posted elsewhere) but due to the rain 🌧️ in lesser conditions, or let's say better mud conditions: no problems whatsoever, very pleased with the behavior of my Grenadier!

It's always good to have the opinion of new eyes, my son noticed two huge mistakes:
  • the car says it's 2m05 high while it's only 2m03. My son thinks Ineos is cheating us, and that I should ask for a financial compensation for the lower height :ROFLMAO:
  • there is no mirror in the sun visor on the passenger side. According to him this is a standard feature, specifically designed for women, and not having it can result in a divorce.
He has an Audi Quattro Hybrid.
We went (with his car) to a restaurant. I was really scared, the car is too low, I was hoping not to cross a Grenadier, it would flatten us.
I recall the 2.05m is for when the sunroofs are popped up.

I saw your Grenadier at lunchtime - I'd popped in to see them and ask about putting in a dash-cam, (i'd just been to a client).
Did you get an answer to fitting of dashcam ? I can't find a power source convenient to windscreen area - maybe
permanently wired to 'somewhere' under the bonnet is the solution !

41. There are no active driver assistance systems yet on the Grenadier. But they are coming. INEOS says it will add autonomous emergency braking for MY24 vehicles. However, there will be no radar (so still no adaptive cruise control) with the auto braking system instead being camera-based.

But the seller instead told me that the car has emergency braking.

Chesterfield, so will be sure to wave if I see you around.. My VIN is just in to the 3000s - long my the Gremlin free running continue!

This is a ray of hope for me, mine is down as 3126 for the VIN, so if you just got yours at just over 3000 I am now confident that mine is going to show up in the next 2 years.

Hopefully I am 23 months out with that last comment as well !!

I’ve not got mine, it’s less than 40 ahead of yours in the factory. I was told on Thursday that it’s “built awaiting transit”…

I was given my VIN on the 5/5/23, so I would like to think I am only one or two days behind you, however I don’t want to cloud the issue with common sense 😃

We will have to keep an eye on each others progress as it will be a good barometer for the other.

Yes with a bit of luck we will be driving them out of the showroom in a few weeks time.

Today I picked up my vehicle from Grange Edinburgh. Wow, love it. Had to stop a mile into my 120 mile return as bonnet wasn’t closed properly, but a good slam sorted that. BFG tyres increased temperature enough for TDMS to give amber warning for over-pressure @ 42psi but again easily fixed. My overall first impression is ‘superb’. Feels and drives like an agile tank.
Christened with a glass of champagne.

The white with black roof looks really cool 😎

When you say easily fixed, is there one, or do you just mean ignore the warnings?

Today went to a restaurant with about 10 members of my judo club, annual meeting of the directory. I am not member anymore (of the Directory), but always get invited to the meal after the meeting :)
Two of them are car mechanics, one, a Ghanaian hasn't a driving license (but he can drive!), and the other one broke his forearm at home! I drove both home with my Grenadier.
Both were really impressed by the behavior of the car (short motorway section and more city driving).
EDITED: only some of the men looked at my car, none of the women!

Back at home I tested my winch by pulling a bag of 30 kg. OK, I know, not a real test, but the winch works!
But the "numberplate European winch cover" is really "cheap and poorly designed". I lost already one of the plastic safety rings, the one that prevents you from loosing the screw! See the picture below. Had to make another one, didn't find it back in the grass!
