Hopefully they leave the Gren alone, adjust the big nut behind the wheel, pat you on the back and say, “good to go”!Nope - did not. There are many ways to skin the steering cat - already talking with 2 firms...
Roadmaster makes a small spring strut for jeeps and pickups that assists gently with the return to center on similar RB steering systemsHopefully they leave the Gren alone, adjust the big nut behind the wheel, pat you on the back and say, “good to go”!
Have to disagree with you here. I agree it has been discussed, specifically when Stu spoke with Greg Clark and Greg said it would be somewhat of a delay. Also, I'm experiencing the delay firsthand. My reservation is the earliest at RDS in PA and possibly the earliest in the country yet dozens of IG's are getting delivered ahead of mine (all were ordered without the tow package). From what I understand IA is trying to make deliveries based on the order of reservation when possible so I would 100% have mine by now if not for the hitch receiver removal delay. You have to realize they most likely didn't have 500+ blank plates fully painted, passed QC and ready for install just sitting at 4+ ports nationwide. This part most likely had to be produced, shipped across the Atlantic, dispersed to the various ports and then installed. There's no way it wouldn't cause a
It’s still be a free country at this point in time and you’re still kinda permitted an opinion…. but based on my research and what Inoes has told me there is not a delay as was discussed earlier.Have to disagree with you here. Yeah that’s a pretty dark tint from the factory! See how it is in person.Very nice, that tint is dark!
Yeah color choice was a tough one! Always loved that classic green white top look.. now just gotta decide if I’m powder coating the wheels white. That's beautiful. It was my second choice but I got MM because desert heat n stuff. Green would be an even worse oven in 120F.
I agree with you comments. My Pre-order# is 9481 and my VIN is 7320. My G was at the port and RDS told me I should expect a 2-8 week delay because of the hitch glitch.Have to disagree with you here. My pre-order was 9803 with a vin of 6717 - think there is a randomness mixed in hereI agree with you comments. My Pre-order# is 9481 and my VIN is 7320. My G was at the port and RDS told me I should expect a 2-8 week delay because of the hitch glitch.
RDS has just updated me on my order, VIN#7320. They received 12 IG's this week and are scheduled to receive 10-12 each week for the next several weeks. The first 36 units that will be shipped are non-hitch vehicles. After those are shipped, then they will start to receive hitch-spec'd units. There will be no order to those shipments based on VIN# or pre-order number. RDS told me that my order should be received by them in 2-8 weeks and dealer preparation will take 1-2 weeks from that point. This could be late December or early January. On another note, the forward roof-mounted LED lamp is not yet approved for the USA so anyone wishing to have that option mounted with the roof rack will have to wait until further notice.I agree with you comments. I've been waiting for that call. My sales person said they were going to be sending me the credit check/finance information last week, still haven't got it.Got the call yesterday that mine is about to be or already is on a truck. Hitch was ordered, so it has been removed. The work appears to have been quick.
You may be right. I was just going off the email from Ineos that said, "we've replaced it with the original cover plate". I think there's a square piece to cover up this hole (attached).I don’t believe plates are needed - I think they’re simply removing the hitch all together. If I looked at the schematic correctly it’s just a handful of bolts.
Don’t quote me on this. I have no inside info but it’s what I believe to be the case.
If this is true, this is the first indication that the work has been completed (or even started for that matter) on an IG. Now the pressure is on IA to start trying to get back to a "fair" delivery order for us early reservation orders.Got the call yesterday that mine is about to be or already is on a truck. It’s as true as what the car salesman told me… mine was in the first dozen invoices to our dealer. The email and subsequent communication said hitchwork was expected to start the week before thanksgiving, so it seems plausible. You may be right.
