I just need a toaster!
Aren't some of them available in "outdoor" colours as well?

Thanks, but I am looking for something exra light and portable. Makita has a ...281... model (don't know the exact model name) which I have in mind. But there are not many reports about it in the web.

New batteries, new charger ... completely new eco system. But I'd like to use my existing one.

That's the strategy with the cordless tools: They are not very expensive. But the batteries make the difference and the money: You're locked in.

And as things stand, the strategy works.

So I don't have to be ashamed to have bought a job-site radio. 😁
I've recently supplemented the bigger radios with one of these. Bought when there was much talk of potential blackouts in the UK; so chiefly a nice lantern but the DAB radio on it is also surprisingly decent and it's a good bit lighter to carry round the garden.

And I'm still looking for a good cordless vacuum cleaner (just to clean the stairs).

Makita has one but I don't know how loud and how efficient it is.
Get the heavy duty leaf blower, start at the top and if there's anything left by the time you get to the bottom, use a dust pan & brush.

My wife will love it ...
