The Definitive Jacket thread.

I just imagine those guys at Castle Donington must have hundreds of jackets arrive more/less all at once 😂😂

It's been scanned 6 times since the 18th, I don't really care, really it's just hilarious watching it leave and come back.

Now that I think about it it is probably related to the situation at Heathrow. I saw a flight get 2/3 of the way there from SFO only to be sent back because there was no place to divert to.

Jacket arrived Friday. I have to say I’m loving it.

I just checked my UPS schedule.

You've got to love the efficiency of a system that sends a package from England to Australia, via Louisville, KY, US of A.
Sent 21/3, due 28/3 - let's see how that goes.

Much better it travels 21,000km than only 16,500km I suppose. It'll have a more travelled look by the time it gets here. 😆🤣

I think UPS planes fly around the world one way, so we come thru the US out of Europe. I have seen this before. Your next stop is most likely Hawaii. Sound like our coats will be on the same plane.

As long as it gets here t'is all good. Just got to laugh at the system. We're already at the arse end of the world without having to travel around the shoulders first. ;)

I think it’s interesting too. I think I might be in a similar boat as @bigleonski because from the UK to the east coast, Germany would be the wrong direction😂😂

Well mine arrived today

The one my wife bought me was a green 48 and it fits fine - I’m 194cm (6’4”-and-a-bit) and 95kg (15 stone). The one I apparently ordered from Ineos last year is a black 44 and is snug to say the least 😕

Maybe I’ll keep it in the hope I can lose a bit of weight 😂

I tried that philosophy of trying to lose weight to get in my clothes decades ago. My wardrobe is now a vintage collection of nothing I can wear today. I've even tried " that's for summer ☀️ use when I'm just wearing a T shirt 👕. " aka my new Fieldmaster jacket.

I'd happily trade my Trialmaster jacket for a Fieldmaster. Size 52 UK. Since sizing was all over the map, I'm normally a US 40-42 at 5'11" and 160 lbs. I'd say the sizing is just about perfect.

I just got mine. Fieldmaster size 50. It's much too small, doesn't fit my upper arms or my shoulders. I haven't attempted to put the other arm into the sleeve.

I'll probably just sell it to someone who wants a fieldmaster and just keep the patch.

Mine arrived today.

Glad I listened to the advisor when I received a clarification phone call.

I am just over 6’, 190 lbs. I would typically wear a 42L tailored suit. I received a size “54” Fieldmaster and it fits just about as I would expect. It has a little bit of extra room, but not by much.

Just got mine, at a size 52 it's just right for me so no, I'm not selling it.
The patch is a nice touch

It's always interesting to see the route taken when shipped, from Drewsbury to Philadelphia, then Honolulu, then Melbourne (with a few stops in between).

Mine just left Hawaii after a short stop over to get some rays. It is due Friday this week.
