What the hell?????? That is the worst placement I've ever seen on any vehicle. Are you guys able to reach back there and pull that fairly easily or is it as annoying as it looks?

How many vehicle types have you changed oil on? The B58 is relatively straightforward IMO.

In my life? Probably hundreds and I've never had to deal with one I could barely see. What are you using to get at it, feel and a tiny ratchet with a swivel on it? I bet the supra guys relocate this damn thing.

It's in the same spot in the millions of BMWs that have used the motor in the past 10 years as well... Access is a bit better once you pull the engine cover off, but everything I've seen uses a rag or two to limit drips...

A quick googling doesn't show any common oil filter relocation kits for the A90 Supra either

This is why I hate BMW... I swore never again but here we are! I hear the engine itself is robust so that's good. Obviously not the end of the world was just curious if there was a trick to it, apparently not. They should have done a remote easy to reach filter like they did during the dark years of land rover when they were BMW powered.
