I hope Ineos will communicate in a decent and honest way to you. But then they will have to change their company culture first.

The website is now live with pricing (no dealer yet or ordering available as of now).

My Trialmaster built coming in just below $86k, a bit higher than I hoped!

How is everyone else feeling?

$75k-$85k is too high
No dealer info
No off road test drive near me
No on road test drive
Misleading on price point to get people excited.

Just plain disappointing. How can we possibly think of spending this much money with a 6 month or more likely 12 month lead time and no ability to know what we would get or where to get it.

Price seems to include all ridiculous European and equal taxes. I shouldn't even have sales tax in my State.

Higher than anticipated. Over $2,000 for safari windows.

I’ll have to decide if I want to take the risk. Still a lot of unknowns with the company. I live near Raleigh where the headquarters will be so that’s somewhat reassuring.

Based on other markets and excluding VAT I figured a fairly loaded Trialmaster would be aroud $75-77k, so I agree on the 15%.

They likely set it as high as they could knowing the CAFE restrictions will limit them to 4,999 units per year and think they can still sell that amount.

I can get it down to $84, that front winch is bloody expensive. I’ll probably put bigger tires on, so why spring for the KO2s.

96k for my build, left out accessories I can buy after like the shovel, led lightbar etc. Was really hoping for it would come in at 85k. That being said I'm in and will proceed with the order.

Biggest items I didn't get due to price but want are the 18in alloy wheels and (took the 17in alloy instead) and the brown steering wheel. Though at this point maybe I'll just max it out and hit 100k and get everything I want.

I assume you also have on road costs to add?
I configured my vehicle in Australia and US and it has gone way up in Australia and US is slightly higher.
US gets performance sound system and 400W inverter but misses out on lots of standard features we get.
No roo bar for US

I don't know what onroad but I assume taxes. Depends purely on the state. California where I live is 7.5%. North Carolina where I also live is 3%. On 100k purchase thats a $4.5k cost savings.

I looked up the G-Wagon and its comparable MPG also at 14 but ineos has far less performance lol. What surprised me is its a straight 14mpg across the board, city & highway.

Based on original pricing a well loaded Trialmaster in Australia is A$102K, that's USD$72K - so not a million miles away.

Your point about selling 5,000 seems 100% correct.
Australian pop is almost 24m & INEOS expects to sell 2,500 first full year (as per Justin Hocevar, Head of Asia Pacific for IA Feb'22) - a grenadier for every 10,000 Aussies.
US pop is 330m (+ the 7m over the border since 2021) - 5,000 won't touch the sides. I reckon they could add another $20,000 and still sell all 5,000 units
