I know this is the waffle thread ani I am going to comment on my Grenadier but I don't want to get into a back and forth of who is right or wrong.
Did 1200 miles last week, 900 in 2-3 days. My vehicle is a UK RHD with the large footrest hump. Vehicle had done over 14,000 miles when I set off.I have my seat high and set back as far as I can reach the steering wheel.
I was comfortable all the way
The steering is easy and normal to use after owning and driving the vehicle regularly. I can drive 1 handed with arm on door top.
Gentle acceleration from a corner and the steering will self right to a degree.
Drove in some horrendous rain and felt solid and secure.
Vehicle is happy at 50 or 70mph but I do find it drive slower than other vehicles which in UK obsessed speed cameras, is a good thing.
What i am saying is, I don't agree with all the ergonomic complaints as it is something that requires your time to understand and in my view better for it. We have a few vehicles and I can jump in any and back to the Grenadier without any adjustment, it's all natural after time.
Vehicles we have to learn to understand and drive give far more involvement and therefore respect and love. Mine is for the longterm until we cannot get fuel in UK or prohibitively expensive.
And so, the length of this post now fits the waffle thread title
We should also move the gun debate over here as that's quite interesting but ruining the joke thread
