It has gone a bit quiet on the old nonsense side. Everyone must still be suffering with hangovers. No one has anything to waffle about since 2024…?!? We are due for a good waffle.
I did hear a rumor that another female has possibly joined the forum so our population has basically DOUBLED. But everybody knows that 1 woman is worth like 50 men, so our population is really 100 if we’re honest.
Get yerself in here other fabulous Grenadier driving lady!
Moving to Cornwall, which is a beautiful county without doubt, is not my list. It’s too far from Islay! It has gone a bit quiet on the old nonsense side. Everyone must still be suffering with hangovers.
What is everyone's plans for the new year. We nearly moved to Cornwall last year but it didn't come off. In the process of selling a property so fingers crossed it goes through ok and it will mean it is easier for us to move if another job opportunity comes up for 'the wife'.
I had noticed another female Grenadier owner had joined, which is only good news for the discussions.
Annie, for one, who's now overlading and touring Africa. Eagerly awaiting her next update on progress. How do you know that you are the only female Grenadier? Maybe there are many more who just choose not to make a thing of it?
I was too late getting a property in the Highlands, the taxes I would have to pay to purchase a 2nd property are just ridiculous, thankfully I got the one in Cornwall when it was just the standard stamp duty. Ideally I wanted one at each end of the UK. Nothing better than the open spaces in the Highlands but Cornwall is warm for my joints and doesn't have the midgesMoving to Cornwall, which is a beautiful county without doubt, is not my list. Looks an amazing place to visit, wife won't go anywhere near though as her phobia of spiders is a little extreme. As many trips in Tasmania as we can manage (Tasmania being like a combo of Scottish Highlands , Cornwall and New Zealand - without the midges and frigid temperatures!)
Oh and a trip To Europe (conference in Vienna. maybe a self guided trek there , and complete the trip to the Isle of Skye/Lewis etc we had to postpone due to the Chinabatvirus.
You watch too much TV!Looks an amazing place to visit, wife won't go anywhere near though as her phobia of spiders is a little extreme.
Her extreme fear is horrendous. The smallest dot in the bathroom means she won't go in there until I've removed it. If i ever drop and lose one, I pretend to throw out the window anyway just for a bit of peace. You watch too much TV!
This little island is no more riddled with them than the UK.
The 2 harmful species - very rarely spotted, and I've been walking the great outdoors for 54 years - and have lived in the bush for 28.
