Speaking of Ineos Marketing…..ouch

Failure is not an option. Ineos is not a charity, though the 100 million they put up to fund the Institute of Antimicrobial Research is a worthwhile gamble.

Failure, big word and harsh judgement...but if that applies it raises the question, where the failures were made...but that is another topic....and when I look at all failures of the Grenadier it seems to be an option...

@bigleonski thanks for posting the article.

I think that this move along with the closing of Grangemouth indicates that Ineos has a business sense….if it’s not profitable then time to shut it down.

How much of a passion project is the Grenadier for Jimmy? Would owners/investors be willing to buyout the division? I think it’s an interesting study.

The sponsorship of the rugby team was not from the automotive entity of Ineos, it was negotiated in 2020/21.

Yep, the automotive side sponsor a few influencers and some bits and bobs here and there but nothing of particular substance from what I’ve seen and been told.

Please correct me if I’m wrong here.

I’m not sure it matters- the public face of Ineos is Ineos Automotive. No one in Australia or NZ has heard of Ineos (other than via sporting sponsorship) other than via the cars, and I’d say the overwhelming population hasn’t even heard of them until now.
So regardless of the issues and why it happened and whether Ineos felt they had some right to pull the plug, it is a very bad look.

But someone smarter than me once said any publicity is good publicity right?

Like I said, be interesting to see how this pans out.
