So where are all the first impressions? (right here)

Nearly a week on and just about 1200 miles later, I seem to have been very lucky compared to some people's experiences - mine is simply the "Gren Grin" continues apace with no issues.

Here's a piccie of today's wee run:

can I suggest that you’ve had no problem with the foot rest?

What is your overall economy on the 1168 miles? Also the range on half a tank doesn’t look that great, had you been hoofing it?

Pleased to read that you are smitten with it though! What are your thoughts on engine sound by the way?

Absolutely none, and neither had my 6'4" (size 13 shoes) son-in-law yesterday with a couple of hundred miles through Snowdonia and N Wales.

I keep an eye on my fuel consumption here, although in the absence of their listing Ineos - I've had to "bodge" a suitable entry:

Engine sound? Sorry I'm happy listening to the radio when I can get reception - the Gren radio aerial reception definitely is not the best - pisspoor by modern-day standards and expectations. Maybe just another software update is needed.

could anyone with the leather option please take a photo of the inside of one of the doors, the bit with the switches/speaker etc
Also got 2 sets of 3 keys, What is the little silver one for??
thanks
- the little silver one should be for the lockable center stowage.
- if you have the spare wheel compartment, there is a key for that as well

I think all these electric gremlins are caused by a weak(ish) battery that’s charging as the car is used, hence the whole “self fixing” phenomenon.

100% possible but to me that seems unlikely for a car built in 2023. It was a problem on early computerized vehicles designed in the 80s/90s.

I might be misinformed and maybe this kind of thing really is still common.

Now that some of you people have owned your Grenadiers for a couple of weeks. How about a more comprehensive overview of your experience so far. Most of us are still really keen on being reassured that we are going to enjoy the experience.

My partner’s X3 started throwing transmission fault warnings and a few others on the screen a few weeks ago. Started to get a bit worried we were up for a surprise repair (the car has been top shelf since we’ve had it).

Down to the mechanic that afternoon, and it turns out the battery was stuffed. It’s funny because it hadn’t given any signs of not starting the car, but on test both he and the specialist battery place we bought a replacement from (too late of a Friday afternoon for the mechanic to get one) said it could very well die over the weekend.

It’s an AGM suited to engine stop start technology. Apparently they tend to go quickly like that.

Could explain the IG gremlins, particularly on long built ones that have been sitting around for months.

I hope a software update solves these issues, and that the factory tightens up the QC. Us North American folks are indebted to you guinea pigs.
+1 for the possibility of it being a battery issue. It just happened this winter on my GMC. Both battery’s went out on a 220 mile journey… truck started fine, but slowly dash lights started lighting up, then lost throttle and the truck sputtered to a halt and died. Two new batteries later and there are no issues.

@Arkaig Hi, had sent a message to sprintmonitor.de yesterday to add the Ineos Grenadier to their list. This morning got a reply, car has been added super quick.

No, normally around 550 a week - I average some 29,000 miles a year.
Are you able to give a more comprehensive summary of your ownership so far? I know you will be pushed for time if knocking out 29,000 miles per year but it would be really appreciated if you can find the time.

Wait until next week when @Arkaig will give us a 30k update 🤣
