We walked down to the neighbours about 500 metres away yesterday and had drinks on their front verandah.
Watched the sun going down and the tide coming in and talked for 4 hours.

Well my V5c arrived in the post today . Super excited now having just processed the private plate onto it with DVLA.

Great news. I too have a personal plate. Having never had one previously what is the process in order to assign to a vehicle?

I have the receipt/certificate from DVLA. Do I have to wait until the V5C is received with standard reg and then.....?

Then it should be simpling tip tapping here:

Registration number going onto the vehicle - Put a registration number on a vehicle - GOV.UK

I've done it a few times but not recently. Gave the assignment doc to the agent to do this time. Hopefully, that way there's no confusion and extra plates made up.

For me it looks like rust, but I hope for us all, that you are right.

Looks like dried blood to be honest with you. The effect of a bug meeting a 3t brick going at 70mph . cannot see how that could be rust with out paint distortion ( BMW guys will know what i mean ) .
