Sick of waiting

Having read the numerous comments that have appeared in this thread in the last 24hrs. I think the official “sick of waiting” thread is starting to pick up pace (again) quicker than the IG deliveries !!

Todays thought is keep the faith, remember;

Ineos Grenadier….Built on Patience 😂

Disaster strikes.
Contract has arrived - at last - BUT . . . . . .
The Grenadier no longer has the 1 tonne payload Ineos made so much of way back when.
As a result it doesn't meet the Car Derived Van classification.
The Benefit in Kind tax liability rockets to £18,000 per annum instead of the £3,000 under dual purpose rules.
What a pointless waste of time my reservation has been.
Ineos has made a copycat 110 but without one of the main 110 benefits!
Contract cancelled,
I can't recall anytime in the last 12 months that Ineos said it had a payload of 1 tonne
Surely you checked that before you turned your reservation into an order??????
I also don't recall the LR110 5 seat station wagon having a payload of 1 Tonne
The Utility wagon or the 130 yes

My TD5 110 SW might have a ton payload as it has the HD springs of the 130. nevertheless it is not rated for it officially.

Yes I found that option in Google because I couldn't help myself but had to investigate
The LR weighed under 2 tonne as well

I am starting to think the whole cancelling the order for that reason is maybe a complete load of horse

As an American, I find the whole King's Tax Scheme completely revolting!

Well it feels like the dam has burst today!!!

Have Ineos just taken receipt of a new fleet of transporters or something ?

I am certainly not moaning but my final bill has just dropped, with an email saying it’s in transport. My portal has also gone straight from contract signed to built and in transit.

Call me cynical but I am in no rush to pay in full until I have seen the thing with my own eyes.

I may also need one of those baseball caps thrown in as an incentive to pay up 😃

The rolling stone is really starting to pick up faith guys….keep the faith
If you have the invoice for sure it’s built and on its way to the dealers for sure.

I find it very difficult to believe that anyone on this forum suddenly discovers the payload at the point of recieving their contract this far down the track. Very fishy.

The probability is as high as someone finds out after getting the contract that it costs more than 35.000 €/£/$
„But they said in 2017 that it should cost as much as a Defender…“

There have been about 35,000 people on Fakebook who have cancelled their orders, or know someone personally who have.
Including one guy who I quickly discovered was a college student from Texas, dumbass didn't realise that the FB Ineos group profile has a link to your actual profile.

Where does it state on the contract the payload of the vehicle? I don’t remember seeing it on the contract…. Not saying it wasn’t … but

As unfortunate for you as this seems, the payload should not have come as a surprise. The UK "digi- brochure" version 2 (May 2022), lists the respective payloads of all vehicles on p42 : they vary between 689kg and 856 kg based on 90% fuel, no driver.....

On another forum I have invested about a decade of life, it's common to note provocative posts from new guys with:

Join date, post count.

Joined yesterday, posted twice. One 'I'm taking my ball and going home!" post.

I am going to have to cancel mine, as I have only just found out that the hay bailer attachment isn’t on the extras list any more. I am sure it was when I made my initial reservation in 2007 !1 sorry guys I’m out.

You mean something like that kind of post above isn’t real ?

I think the forum needs a dickhead filter for guys like that

I stopped looking at fb owners after one member did a rant about the grenadier and summed up by saying I'm not ordering one of those. So why are you on the owners fb site? Social media is driven (pun not intended) by budding influencers more concerned with their image than the subject
