General Service Reset Procedure - Oil Change (currently only possible with dealer level scan tools)

Anyone know why my Grenadier started "Bonging" at me at an incredibly loud volume that I can't seem to turn down to tell me "service due in 52 days" on the screen. Does it on every engine start and is driving me insane.

Funny enough I just did my own break-in diff/ transfer case/ engine oil service myself last week.

My grenadier only has 2,100 miles on the odometer, was purchased in Nov '24.

I thought the factory interval was 10-12k miles?
The bonging noise can be adjusted via menu's in the central display. Can't remember how to do it right now, but I'm sure I read the answer on here a year or so ago.

Not for service reminder or fuel warning!

They are as loud as can be and there are no volume settings for that category of bongs

That’s the question. Along with why some vehicles are leaving dealerships without known issues being rectified. I think that Ineos needs to have a meeting and training course on proper PDI procedures or at least a document sent to all the dealers
sounds like no one gives a sht

25% tariff dropping soon for the U.S. market.

I think mine were speed warnings, but I was able to reduce the volume and make the bong a little quieter.
I've gone into my settings menu and have disabled or turned every audible warning down to the lowest level possible. The service reminder is still jarringly loud.

The onboard service reminder works on Time (12 months), Engine hours, or milage. So which ever ticks around first will set off the reminder. Yours is almost certainly time as your dealer should have reset it when you picked the car up.
That makes sense. Seems like they must have forgotten to reset it when I picked up the car. My rig was a May '24 build, purchased in Nov '24. Theres no way it should be pinging me for service only 2K miles in. I'm sure it's going off the May time line which is annoying. I'm going to have to make an appt and have them reset it. Gonna drive me nuts having to hear that on every start for the next 9 months before its first service.

Apparently, Grenadier users worldwide have the same problems with regard to the release or provision of data. It is also extremely counterproductive with the almost non-existent service network! New service companies are apparently not wanted either, at least in Germany (I had applied several times). The tiresome subject of the ‘service manual for all owners’ has also disappeared. Has anyone already taken legal action? Incidentally, vehicle manufacturers in the EU are obliged to make all data available to independent garages!

Same Laws in North America, but Mimi have yet to find any company that has been able to update their equipment to service Ineos. Not aware of any one actually having taken legal action

On my 23MY when it was due the first service it bonged on startup and then gave an on screen notification every minute or so.

Now second service due, all I get is a the bong and a brief reminder on startup. So the 1 minute nag seems to have gone (same software variant).

Or am I imagining things?

This fking service reminder issue is waay more of a concern than Adas clicks.

Next time Lynn Calder goes on a podcast.. let’s make sure the interviewer ask more in depth questions like the service reminder and not the fking toot horn

It sounds like you're upset it has gone...it may be when reset by the dealer at 1st service they had the option to remove the one minute reminder

Can you elaborate on the “option to remove the one minute reminder”? We can turn of the frequent reminders?
I said "may", turning off the minute reminder may be an option available to the dealer when using his laptop to set the service reminder.
You can turn off the one minute reminder yourself, BUT it resets at the next ignition turn on. To turn it off; when it appears, a) highlight it using the end button on the stalk, b) then press the stalk end button again, and c) then select a main menu item " Home","Audio" Offroad " or "Settings ". The one minute reminder will not appear again until the next ignition on sequence.
