I "almost" have a Trialmaster without seat heating, but the wiring and connectors are available, see pictures:

Nowadays, most manufacture install almost all wiring harness for a fully kitted out vehicle because it is cheaper and does not hold up the line to keep checking what wiring is need for what. You could theoretically, get a third party to install coil in the seats and put a switch in since the wiring is all done.

How silly, with BMW you just ring up customer services and sort out your monthly direct debit and your heating seats just start working.

If you speak nicely they will even throw in the ABS add on for free 😝

But it does give you two extra power sources for other things that are probably wired back to the blank panels behind the dash

Now that is a bloody good point. I suppose you could actually get an aftermarket seat cover that heated up anyway and plug it straight into the connectors. Would save trying to retrofit coils in seats. Taking it one step further you could also have a summer cooling cover (if there is such a thing).

Go one step better , maybe into Lexus territory , and snag one of these off alibaba. Will help all those aches and pains on those 8 hour drives everybody is doing.

Only if they are from Martin Baker.

In which case you would also need a Bremont MBii wristwatch with orange barrel case. The only Martin Baker certified watch that can be fired through the safari windows.

Reassuring for the wearer that whilst the emergency services are scraping their head off the IG roof lining, at least the watch can be passed onto loved ones in pristine condition. 😊
