Pics of 1.7" Eibach kit

Yes! Bring on the Glamour shots!! Don't mean to keep beating a dead horse, but anyone who lifts their Grenadier, will eventually have a failed CV Joint. Geometry doesn't lie!

Anyone else out there do a 1.7 - 1.2 lift with 35x12.5 17's? Any rubbing??? photos?
Yep! And yep - slight rubbing at full lock.

I think I'm going back to the 2.5 up front and a 1" spacer in the back when I get my Metal Cloak arms though. Going to try and see if I can change the geometry some and hopefully not rub.

I got my 1.7/1.2 springs and 285/75/17 km3s on this week, and imo this is about the stance the Grenadier should have from the factory. My shop (a local guy who restores, rebuilds, maintains old LRs primarily for the cape cod and newport ri rich folks) did a great job protecting the driveshaft, the cv boot looks and feels pristine. Speaking of that, with the ~3” or so of extra ground clearance I can now somewhat comfortably just slide underneath the car with room to spare.

Anyways, i had to upgrade the springs no matter what given that i’m going to hang an extra ~150lbs off the very front with a winch and bullbar (possibly new bumper too, depends on aftermarket pricing and aesthetics), a few hundred pounds worth of trail armor, roof rack, drawer system, and some gear.

Basically, it won’t be effectively a 1.7/1.2 inch lift for long lol. My guess just from leaning on the front is the front will settle a half inch lower when its all loaded up. So even less aggressive driveshaft angle

Looks great! You make some good points on the weight increases.

I took a trip to the beach the other day and had it pretty heavy with loaded drawers, dogs, fishing gear, awning and recovery gear. It was a bit of a test as I will have the LRA tank installed soon and honestly, I may go back up to the 2.5 and the 1 inch rear spacer when I get the Metal Cloak goods installed. Another good note is that the ride is very nice when the weight goes up some.

As you can see, it sags some with the weight.

What size wheels, offset and tires are you running?
