OH NO (urban uncut modified Grenadier video)

Had to happen 🤪like the wheel arch extension =bigger tyres better ground clearance wider track etc.

Oh no indeed!! We all knew it would happen. I suppose it could be taken as a complement. It will be worth it if it means having other third party manufacturers support and develop for the Grenadier. The owner of Urban certainly had extremely positive things to say about the design and build quality.
On the upside; this must mean vehicles are being released!

The German saying that hits me first is like "Man's will is his kingdom of heaven". You can't prevent everyone from realising themselves in their own way here. For me: definitely terrible for the most part.

They liked it then.. I noted that they made no negative comments about steering and precision thereof. Bearing in mind they’re in Defender’s all day long, and gave it some welly on road, I’m pleased they made no negative comparisons between the two, or the G wagon for that matter..

not sure I’m one of their target customers but I suspect they’ll have a full drug dealer / pro footballer spec one ready within a few months..

Loved the enthusiasm of the guys from Urban for the Grenadier and the respect they showed for its design. Also interesting to see a bit of their their product design/development process. Not for me though.

It was always going to be URBAN who did it first.

It relation to the scratches 3m tape in clear should be good, or I have used some body coloured vinyl before that is allegedly used on helicopter rotor blades. That was very tough.

Agree on the road manners … didn’t hear negative. Also, it sounded good under acceleration and didn’t see much body roll doing the roundabout.

I didn't watch it to the end. When they showed up with the rear spoiler, I couldn't take it anymore.

Tasteless.
Chav design.

Toby Ecuyer would be turning in his grave.

🤮 💩

Well as much as I wanted to hate it, I actually didn’t mind the look of it, I think if it’s done tastefully they will make it look very classy. I think the main man gets it and loves it by the sound of it.

He isn’t going to turn this into a Mall Crawlwer, he is going to try and improve the design and tweak it. Their enthusiasm was very infectious as well.

Are we saying that it was Inky Black or Donny Grey ? I thought black and then in places thought, no it’s grey !!

I had same reaction....I was expecting the new defender stuff which I don't like. Worth watching just for the driving and also a production interior.

I had the same question about color....sometimes it looked like like donny grey with metallic but I think it is black but the reflections/camera give it a grey look....but I could be wrong.

I don't mind the driving light pods but I agree the spoiler is ridiculous on this type of vehicle.
Spoilers only do a few things
  • Creates downforce for cornering
  • Creates drag in straight lines (extra fuel used0
  • Looks stupid when not needed

Urban have got their hands on one..

unfortunately INEOS seem to be giving them and Kahn vehicles as priority, and not UK off-road/overland aftermarket specialists...

I understand they are volume sellers to the successful chavs, but given the whole ethos of the Grenadier, I'd also like to see it in the hands of people who want to create functional off-road accessories and not just lumps of plastic to stick on the side..
