Now I think it Donny Grey. I see some metallic in some closeups like the field master badge.I had same reaction....I was expecting the new defender stuff which I don't like. Worth watching just for the driving and also a production interior.
I had the same question about color....sometimes it looked like like donny grey with metallic but I think it is black but the reflections/camera give it a grey look....but I could be wrong.
Remember they are making them for Urban mall crawling not off road toughness. The steel they used for the steps is far too thin.
When you are called Urban , you know where the demographic liesRemember they are making them for Urban mall crawling not off road toughness.
They will need to support 160kg fat bastard doing the run to McDonalds and withstand the onslaught of a discarded takeaway coffee cup bouncing up off the tarmac
Urban have got their hands on one..
unfortunately INEOS seem to be giving them and Kahn vehicles as priority, and not UK off-road/overland aftermarket specialists...
I understand they are volume sellers to the successful chavs, but given the whole ethos of the Grenadier, I'd also like to see it in the hands of people who want to create functional off-road accessories and not just lumps of plastic to stick on the side..
I think what we fail to realise is that the cashed up bogan demographic is a far bigger market than our category, and therefore what will ultimately (with the commercial sector) put cold hard cash in Sir J’s pocket and repay his efforts. When you are called Urban , you know where the demographic lies
Cashed up bogans in our cities are inevitably going to be all over this sort of thing.
Good review and positive vibes. Just gobsmacked, they get to see a production vehicle but not the customers!Urban have got their hands on one..

True ; I'm just glad I don't have to live amongst it!I think what we fail to realise is that the cashed up bogan demographic is a far bigger market than our category,
I predicted this a long while back. They can’t help themselves to not go after the money crowd. It makes it that much more important for the rest of us to use our grenadiers as intended. As the owner of both a G wagen and a new Defender, I grow tired of all the posing stuff.Urban have got their hands on one..

So what do you do about the light coming in the side window and the windscreen? If you haven't watched the whole video because the light bar lunacy made you puke in your mouth a bit, you should really take the time to watch the whole thing. The drive it around and I think really give some good perspective on the car. Plus, they have dealt with a lot of LRs and other cars. I think they nailed it, and the bald guy says he is going to order one.
Yes, they aren't my cup of tea, and my first thought is that they are going to try to turn it into a G-wagen pimp-mobile, but I think the design and the intent of the car as being a very stout and real 4x4 will tamp that down a bit on the wilder bits.
The 'review' part of the video makes it worthwhile to watch until the end.

Tint is good, but I think that I'll need to have a proper black-out panel for my wife's side at least. She's photonphobic.
At the ned they said in Los would not be happy that he was sitting on the roof. This is a borrow not bit scenario. My gut feeling Ineos let them borrow it to start the process of aftermarket parts. Because they do so much with G wagon, they were able to move quickly with preexisting models.Good review and positive vibes. Just gobsmacked, they get to see a production vehicle but not the customers!
The two tube gave me the idea that maybe you could have a real rock slider and then pretty easy bolt-on/off second tube. Put it on for easy access around town, but you could take it off other scenarios...Not sure why OH NO? I like that aftermarket companies will be coming up with stuff. Love their light pod idea and am already tempted. Doubt I will want their sidestep it doesn’t look like a proper rockslider step to me, but seeing some different options for how some might look in the future is fun. I normally poo poo silly cosmetic rear spoilers on 4wds and my head wants to do it with that one too, but I am somewhat ashamed to admit that when they put that one up there I found it hard to dislike the idea.
Here is some for jeeps. The two tube gave me the idea that maybe you could have a real rock slider and then pretty easy bolt-on/off second tube. Put it on for easy access around town, but you could take it off other scenarios...
DIdn't someone alude to small steps that attach to the rock sliders, but fold up for clearance?
I really enjoyed that.
City cars won't even be using high beams! So what do you do about the light coming in the side window and the windscreen?
