Leaking - Multiple Areas

Hi all,

Thanks for sharing the information about the various leaks, especially around the Safari Window and front-facing camera area.

I haven’t experienced any leaks yet, primarily because my Grenadier hasn’t been exposed to rain. However, I’m anticipating it since this seems to be a common issue.

I’m curious—if this is a known problem, why can’t Ineos or the dealers address it preemptively, perhaps through a recall?

Since I haven’t encountered this issue yet, I’m unsure how to prevent it before it potentially causes interior damage. I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions on this.

For reference, I came across a YouTube video discussing the Safari Window leak:

Thanks in advance!

See this TSB

Seems to be fix only when an issue is noted.

thanks for letting me know.
Its a bummer that nothing will be done unless you already have a problem.

Left hand drive, heavy rain last night, lots of water rushes out when opening driver door - LOTS more water in the driver footwell, area behind pedal completely full of water. Not great. What's the fix???

"lots" of water possibly indicates safari window leak... The "bootwash" provided by the door seals traps water between the two seals, but specifically doesn't allow it into the vehicle

No safari windows. Somehow the bootwash function is letting water into the footwell. Can't see how just yet.

I was so happy when I went through my first thunderstorm downpour and the doors didn't store the water and the safari windows didn't leak. I have two other things on the IG issues bingo card and 1 that I haven't seen anyone else mention though.

Try parking your vehicle facing up an incline so that the safari windows are flat/slightly angled back. If it still doesn't leak then you can be smug 🤣
Joking aside, do check this. Mine didn't leak parked on flat part of drive but I couldn't park facing up the drive and had to get fixed.

Thanks for sharing. I have empathy for everyone who has had to deal with it.

What is the fix for the Safari Window leak? Is there a way to address it proactively before it becomes a problem?

I've been "lucky" so far—indoor parking and an unusually dry season over the past few months (since taking delivery) have helped.

Glitchy and buggy software issues aside, waiting to see if the Safari Window will eventually leak is not fun.

The only thing you need to do is every six months, take out the safari windows, lubricate the rubber seals with a silicone dressing. Wipe down the channels and clear out the drain hole my inserting a small cable or something. If the drain holes block, water will accumulate at the front and drops of water will appear.

Just a gentle reminder, I had overland gear guy make me a custom magnetic cover that spans over the outside of the safari windows. You put it on when you are parked and then take it off before driving. It rolls up easy and is simple solution to keep the safari window area clean.

Can you provide more info and pictures on this?
Does anyone have a leaking rear door, middle of the larger one?
