The underlying brackets which the trim hangs from are attached using a hex shaped nut (one metal one plastic). I used an M10 socket head to remote those.

Overhead console bolts?

Anyone know what the bolts are that are used on the overhead console with the switches? THey seem to be some 4mm hex head with a really coarse thread to them.

I'm at work now so can't check , but you might find this sort of thing useful to have

License plate light shroud fasteners are 2x T20 torx.
Hahaha I was just about to post that myself, having just finished the light shroud install 2 minutes ago.

EDIT: added to Table, the T15 also work taking the screws out. I used the T20 bit to put the new screws in after I read the instructions.

And if you need longer screws #10 screw at 3/4" long works well. The original screw is metric but the #10 3/4 in black was easy to source in my hardware store.

Longer screws came with the kit from Stu.

I added some Marine Goop on the screw threads as I screwed them back in. The screws stay in place, the Goop is easy to remove (if required) and it does not damage the fittings. Now the corrugations cannot loosen the screws.

BACKGROUND
@DaBull and I have been having a discussion of Screw/bolt heads over in the Torque setting thread here. I started a new thread to focus on the various size and types of common screws/bolts used on the Grenadier. The Table will be updated over time.

There will be some variation between cars. I know earlier model Grenadiers had torx bolts along the door sill, my car has hex bolts.#

*Commonly loosen/tighten with an Allen key or hex bit. #Commonly loosen/tighten with a socket, spanner or wrench.

Methodology: I take a selection of Torx and Torx Plus bits and work out which fits the best. When there is uncertainty, I look closely at the shape of the screw/bolt head.
Great article - I have a Torx T30 corroding (when opening the door you can see it retaining the wing). Thought about replacing it - this thread has stimulated me. Guess it's a Torx T30 - will have to remove and check its length.

Used this company in the UK for SS before: https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/Bolts-Screws-Metric/Torx-Cap-Screw-M6x6-T30-A2-Stainless.html

I 3D printed my own set. Maybe useful info for those who 3D print.

Fastenal is a good one here in the states. https://fastenal.com/

FYI, the four rear receiver bolts are 16 x 1.5
